Abu Garcia Vengeance® Casting Rod, 6'9" Medium Heavy Fishing Rod

A great rod for smaller-sized glide baits. Powerful with a sensitive tip to detect even the smallest of nibbles. Its a 7ft 6 heavy fast action Lure rating ½ - 2 ounces with a mono line weight of 15 - 30 pounds. I pair it with a Piscifun Torrent 2 200 with 20 pound Seaguar Basix 20 pound flourocarbon line for dropshots, jigging and deep diving crankbaits. Planning to buy another for a topwater setup.

Every once in a while, Walmart stores and Walmart.com will post a special deal that you won't notice unless you know the price that the item normally sells for, so the price almost goes under the radar. This happens with fishing gear quite often. But, once the item is noticed, it sells out quickly. Because I am constantly looking, I have found a few on fishing rods. This rod listed on a Friday and sold out by Sunday. I couldn't pass it up. It was over half the price it normally sells for. As for the rod itself, it doesn't match exactly to my Abu Garcia Max STX, but it comes very close. The reel seat is very sturdy. The action and the weight match nicely. As for the weight, balance, and toughness, it feels so light, I doubt I could get tired of casting it like some other comparable rods, the balance is spot on, and I've already tested the flex on it with a 20 lb weight, which I don't recommend, but it held it fine. I only wish I had bought a couple more.

perfect entry level rod and even every weeknd warriors. very light weight will be used for bass fishing

Though I haven't used it yet it seems to be a nice rob with good action. Looking forward to trying it out.

Great rod for the money! I have 2 in the 7' medium heavy with the Vengence reels on them. Great entry level setups for the price point.

Durable sensitive use this for my spinnerbait a and cranks handles like a champ

I throw small 4,5,6 inch glide baits with to soft swim baits in the same size and it works great

just got it and haven't even got the reel for it yet but it's light weight and seems strong. we shall see. I only use abu Garcia gear..

I bought this item for a fishing trip this weekend. It was delivered in plenty of time but when I opened the package which was not damaged in any way, the tip of the rod was not there. Oh I'm sorry it was there it was in the Box, not attached to the rod. Abu Garcia is a great product, I'm returning this one and going to order another one.
