I believe for the money, you cannot beat these reels. I can't believe how good they cast, I have reals. they cost three times the price and these do just as good!

worked incredibly well.
I loaded it with 30lb braid and tied a 5/8 ounce to it. Tested it in the back yard with a few drops and casts. it was ready. 1 hour later it was put to work on a nearby lake and the results were amazing. I didn't expect continued performance like from a reel at that price. Large mouth bass and northerns were giving it a good work out. Overall this thing is great, very satisfied and would highly recomend to anyone. This is only one of the 15 rods i use. Ifish alot and have been for decades. A definite plus to your arsenal.

Gear ratio is great and smooth cranking. Casting however poor. I have used 5500C's many years and still own several this reel almost threw my arm out.
