SuperTech fluids are good!
This kit has a shallow filter, a pan gasket and a suction seal. You'll need a 13mm (1/2") socket and driver, a screwdriver, cleaning rags, brake cleaner and a case of the current Dexron fluid. Get access to a service manual specific to your vehicle. The socket is for pan bolts. The screwdriver is for careful removal of the suction seal. The rags are to make your pan look new. The brake cleaner is to show you that the pan wasn't really clean. Use a seal driver or socket to tap the new suction seal into place. Work the new filter into place. Start each pan bolt by hand through the pan and gasket. Snug each bolt with the socket. Firm every other bolt until all are firmed. Check each bolt again. Use a torque wrench if you aren't sure about the bolt tightness. Add fluid through the dipstick tube and check for leaks. After you've added the amount you removed, start the engine and check for leaks. Check the fluid level. Cycle through the gears. Check the fluid level. Check for leaks. When the engine is warm, check for leaks and check the fluid level. Drive and, YES, check for leaks and check the fluid level. Make sure it's right now, you'll sleep better at work.

Fits some 2008 Silverado transmissions
Filter, gasket, and seal were good quality, but did not fit my truck. If your transmission has a deep pan, this filter is NOT for you. Deep pan transmissions require AC #24208576. I found WIX filters to be as good quality at a lower price and the rubber gasket made installation easier. AC#24208576= WIX #58847.

So far so good
Looked good, fit, good. I'm not sure if I didn't read thoroughly or what, but I thought it was a rubber gasket. It isn't, but that's okay as long as it doesn't leak and it is not.

this filter is not for a 2009 Silverado, 5.7 liter. The stem is not long enough.
