Castrol Transmax DEX/MERC Automatic Transmission Fluid, 1 Gallon

I haven't used it yet but I always use castrol and never been sorry it says for older gm transmissions because they've done away with the original trans fluid so hope it works well

Price is right and the oil has proved itself in my 90 Volvo 740. I drive it hard and have flushed it before with this ATF. I am about to change it after many years of use. Oil still smells good and the transmission shifts fine but there is evidence of darkening on the dip stick (probably clutch friction material). Preventive maintenance is the key to avoiding expensive automatic transmission repairs. So I use 12 quarts to flush through the trans to expel all the old fluid. Expensive to use that much but not as expensive as repairing the trans. Machine flushing in a garage uses 15 to 16 quarts! I am a retired mechanic.

The reason our cars have tons of miles on them and still run well is that we only use quality products like this in them.

I used Dexron VI until it became Dex/Merc. I have always been happy and satisfied with Dex/Merc. I fell it us a high quality fluid that has worked well.

the product is and was excellent. And exactly what it was supposed to be. the reason I only give for out of five is because it took some time to be delivered (almost two weeks) but nobody else had it in stock and it was my only option at the price (which is very reasonable) I'd definitely buy again.
