I got this for extra support during sports and busy days, it does exactly what it's supposed to. It feels sturdy without being overly stiff, and the adjustable straps make it easy to get a snug fit. It stays in place well whether I'm on my feet a lot, running errands, or dealing with a long day of activity. It also fits inside most shoes without feeling too bulky, which was important. It is washable. The only downside is it can take a minute to get used to putting it on correctly the first few times, but once you figure it out, it's quick.Overall, a reliable option if you need added ankle support without sacrificing comfort.
This is my third attempt at stabilizing an ankle that keeps rolling in. It got delivered a half hour ago. I'm getting some minor contact pain when my ankle tries to roll in and hits the stabilizer bar, but that's nothing compared to how it has been hurting and could probably be stopped with a thicker pair of socks. For the first time in at least a week and a half, I'm not in constant pain. It was literally immediate relief.
While walking down the stairs, my foot slipped, and I managed to sprain my ankle (I've sprained this same ankle many times before). I didn't feel like going to urgent care to pay $250 to be seen and get another brace. As soon as I put on this brace, the pressure in my ankle diminished tremendously!
oh my god i was a little skeptic at first but once i put this brace on oh my god instsnt releif. i cant remember how my abkle gelt befofe this chronic pain came about. thus brace really is comfortable and does its job fabulously! you will not be disappointed! im going to buy another one soon. one for home and one when i go out. thank you so mjch walmart.
I have tendinitis in my left foot. I have been trying to find a wrap that specifically has suport on the sides. I purchased 3 different brands all with the same feathers. the one that was $50.00 was the worst fitting. bothe the mid priced and the Ace had equal support. This one has the best price for easy on and off and also the best fit in both my shoe and sneakers. It is also easy to adjust for proper alignment to support the ankle yet enough give to actually walk as you should.
My husband sprained his ankle very badly and wasn't given anything by urgent care. This has helped keep him as comfortable as possible. He feels relief when he's using it. Easy to use and stretchy
I would like a little better quality of cloth around the bottom of the brace. Currently, it feels like the cloth will rip and it becomes outstretched and I have only had it for one month. Besides that, I love the criss cross motion of the support straps. It makes the injured ankle feel more secure.
So, this does not provide nearly enough support. The bottom criss/cross part is very light support, and the top strap isn't wide enough to offer much support either. The most supportive part of this brace is the rigid bar on the sides of the brace (meant to keep the ankle from bending side-to-side), but the rest of the straps aren't really strong enough to keep it sturdy and in place.
Even though the velcro straps are adjustable, the wrap itself is not. The foot wrap portion was larger than my foot and when using the velcro strap to make it snug around my ankle, it created bulk and it became painful on the skin. Also, the bottom portion is the same wrap material and the pressure of that against my arch irritated not only the skin but the muscles/tendons beneath it. There is an upgraded ankle brace, Copper Fit Air brace that I ended up purchasing after this one and it's fits better plus the material and design is much better.
I, unfortunately, have to return this item. The description says one size fits most. I have a small to medium foot, and this ankle stabilizer fits like a large/Xlarge. I've used ACE brand products for years and have never had a problem.
