This ankle brace is incredibly supportive and seems to be very well made. Price is reasonable. 5 stars! I am a mens size 10 and the L/XL fits snugly out of the box.
The McDavid Sport Ankle Compression Knit Sleeve W/Gel Butresses Large/Extra Large provides that little extra support You need after you twist or roll your ankle. My adult grandson rolled his ankle playing Soccer and came home limping. He put the Ankle sleeve on and he walked with no limp Right away.He said it was very comfortable To wear. He wears a 11 1/2 size shoe and Size Large/Extra Large fit him perfectly. This is well made and priced great. I have recommended this to all my friends and family.
i have tried a couple of dozen different brands of compression socks and this is the first one i didn't return. i was able to get it on without pulling a muscle or damaging the sock.
I just started wearing it today.
makes my ankle feel good when on my feet for a long time.... dont eear it longer than needed.
I was hesitant about the gel inserts at first. once I tried it for awhile, I found they helped quite a bit. I feel like they would cause more harm, than good, if they were causing discomfort. They may be perfectly placed for some, but not for others.
The ankle sleeve is for times when your sitting down and relaxing. it heats and cools. It would be good for the injury right when it happened and you weren't planning on staying off your feet. I needed support for my ankle to finish out the work day, kept compressed and tight.
These were somewhat okay. They were too small and too tall even with me getting a largest size. the side "bones" didn't sit around my ankles very well, so I really didn't care for them much also the gel felt funky, but then again that is just my personal preference and I'm on the fence about the gel thing (texture thing). If they did a little bit tweaking on them they might be okay. I donated them and made sure I wrote made for smaller ankles, hoping someone will be able to get some use out of them.
McDavid Sport Ankle Compression Knit Sleeve W/ Gel Butresses The McDavid Sport Ankle Compression Knit Sleeve with Gel Butresses provides support but not in the right places or in the correct way. It did not provide any relief from pain, swelling and inflammation I experienced due to injury and resulting arthritis, rather it added to my pain and discomfort. The elastic is so tight on the small/medium size sleeve; it caused unbearable, intense pain across the top of my foot and arch, in addition to restricting circulation causing the front part of my foot and toes to get cold and stiff. While the shape and form features refined tension and rebound properties in addition to its targeted and purposeful pattern which are designed to provide advanced support, this was not my experience. The sleeve buckled at and pinched across my ankle. This did not feel good and did not help my injury. The small/medium is not true to size. It does not fit an average woman's size 8, medium foot, as it advertises. While the sleeve boasts a 4-way stretch it is so tightly woven it is nearly impossible to put on without hurting your hands, fingers and foot. The sleeve does minimize heat retention effectively. I appreciate that the sleeve is made of soft material, and not neoprene. Beyond that it is hand washable and can be worn on either your left or right ankle. Unfortunately, the compression is so strong, it is over powering. Once you manage to put the sleeve on, it causes so much discomfort and sadly restricts your blood flow – increasing pain and injury instead of aiding in the healing process.
Will return this! Anyone trying to wear this could be seriously harmed…far too small. Size S/M is totally inaccurate !
