The Acer Swift 1 SF114-32-C225 Windows 10 Home in S mode with Intel\u00AE Celeron\u00AE processor N4000, 14 FHD LCD isn't the first Acer I've owned and this one doesn't disappoint! The setup was easy, including the fingerprint security, and I was ready to go in just a few minutes. I've been using my Acer Swift 1 SF114-32-C225 Windows 10 Home in S mode with Intel\u00AE Celeron\u00AE processor N4000, 14 FHD LCD for about a week now, and it's fast, has a great picture on the FHD LCD and has very fast and smooth performance. I have recommended this laptop to my friends and family and will definitely purchase an Acer in the future!
This laptop is great! I love the sleek appearance, ease of use and the fast speed. This laptop is as thin as a marker! I've been able to surf the web, play games and apps all without any hint of lag. I love than I can download apps from the windows store just like I could on a mobile device. It can also play PC games too. The touch pad is easy to use but I personally prefer a mouse, which I easily paired. My teens also love this laptop for their games and school work. It's easy to set up and comes with a good length of cord. Overall, I'm impressed and can't think of a bad thing to say about it.
I've never purchased an Acer before. I always considered them to be not as good as other more well-known name brand computers because of the less expensive price. This Swift 1 is so far so very good. The last laptop I bought was for my graduate classes about three years ago (14-inch touch screen 2-in-1). I like this one better. Everything is so slim and streamlined. Even the power cord is small and thin. The screen is very crisp, and the keyboard does not seem flimsy or slight. I had an issue with my last laptop with the keyboard. As I was typing, the cursor would randomly jump from one part of the screen to another…and it happened very shortly after purchasing. This keyboard is not doing that. I had an issue with the mousepad on the Swift 1 not working halfway through the setup. Turns out I had pressed the F7 button, which disables the mousepad. I didn't figure that out on my own, I had to look it up. Setup was a breeze and it loads quickly. Connecting my Bluetooth speaker was super easy as well. There were not too many unnecessary extras. And I was able to quickly remove any fluff I did not want. The computer moves fast. Of course, this doesn't have a ton of RAM, so using it for much more than the internet and school might be pushing it. Netflix looks great on the screen. As a bonus, Swift 1 comes with 365 for a full year, for free! I thought that was super awesome, because I have ALWAYS had to pay for my Office products. If you're trying to save a few bucks, don't hesitate, give this one a try. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
So, I am not a techie, but I have shopped and used my fair share of laptops over the years. I am actually not a stranger to the Acer brand and currently own Acer products including an Acer Aspire that served faithfully until its demise. Acer is a very dependable brand, that is at a price point that does not break the bank and there is absolutely no compromise on performance and reliability when compared side by side with other major brands in the same category. The service/ support website and live phone support are excellent if ever needed. the Acer Swift did not disappoint let's jump into a few features. 1. Simple yet eye catching slim design 2. Ultra portable- light weight 3. Intel Premium Processor 4. 3 USB ports 5. HDMI-full HD 1080-IPS Display 6. SD card reader 7. Headphone Port 8. finger print access 9. 13.3 inch screen The Acer Swift1 started up easily with a voice activated virtual assistant Ames Cortana guiding you through the quick and super easy set up process. I usually plug in a mouse and keyboard when I use a lap top, but the Acer Swift 1 was very comfortable with its larger keys and adequate spacing in between the keys. The mouse/touch pad is very responsive. The speakers put out decent sound and are located on the bottom front of the Swift. The Acer Swift boasts 20 hours of battery life, however I was able to get about 8.5-9 hours, mind you I was on the internet, editing pictures, social media, etc. I really put it through the test. This is a perfect laptop for casual use, for a student then this is perfect choice.
I just received this product today and I am using it right now to do this review. I have had my fair share of bad laptops and so far this one is great. It is fast and easy to use. The computer is very light and has usb ports and place for SD card. I am still exploring everything this laptop can do but my impression so far is really good. I am very glad I got this product and I would recommend anyone needing a laptop to get this one.
This Acer Swift 1 is nice and sleek, it's thin and somewhat lightweight. It's about 12”x8”. It comes with 1 year free subscription to windows 10 home in S mode. The S mode to my understanding means it comes with built in anti malware protection and firewall. It's easy to maneuver. It processes really fast. I haven't notice any lagging of any kind. The screen colors and rich/vivid. The touch pad as in to operate the mouse is fairly easy to use. I am still trying to figure out how to get the menus as in what the right side of a normal mouse does such as how to copy and paste. It also has a camera and comes with Skype app. It has a standby battery life of about 24 hours and about 10 or more while using it. It charges fast in about an hour. Set up was a breeze with Cortana - Microsoft version of Siri guiding me thru it. It has voice control so you could speak to Cortana, ask her questions and get answers. You need to set up a Microsoft account to use it and a lot of its features. It has Touch ID sign in which I find to be cool. I just put my finger on the mini touch pad and it signs me in. You could also set up multiple users so the kids can have their own account. It comes with Microsoft store so you can download most of the usually apps like android and iso. It would be great for college kids to take notes or do projects and reports and also great for a stay at home mom like me. Overall I am very please with this laptop. Oh yeah it supposedly works as a tablet too, I haven't done that yet.
The smoothest, fastest running laptop I've used in a pretty long time. I'm not well versed in the windows realm but I must admit it's pretty easy to use and maneuver around. The setup was smooth and easy to do. Everything pretty much lives in your windows button. Great laptop for families!
Well, first off let me begin with the negative. Took the Acer laptop out of the box and tried to set it up. Which was fine for the first 30 minutes or so and then I could not get back on it!!! I needed to call the service number on the box and have them help me do a factory reset. They told me that they were having issues with the sign in. First the fingerprint recognition was not working and then asks for a 4 digit pin but that too would not work. Essentially I was completely locked out of my own computer. They said do not put in a 4 digit pin and skip that step until Windows has an update. To this day I still have not set up a pin I'm too worried I'll get locked out. I have not set up the fingerprint recognition either. It is not password protected at all but that really isn't too much of a concern for me but I could see that being a BIG problem for other users. I have not owned an Acer laptop before but besides the initial setup I've had a good experience with it. It is so lightweight and sleek. The screen is 14 inches and plenty big to watch movies on. It has the smallest charger I've seen for a laptop and only have to charge it every few days. I feel it holds a battery charge longer than my last hp laptop. It states the battery life lasts 17 hours. Given I'm not on it for HOURS but I do feel I'm on it enough in a 24 hour period but still don't have to charge it often. It comes with the Windows 10 operating system. My 14 year old says that the processing speed is not good enough for gaming because of the lag time.
This laptop is great. Its got excellent resolution and charges quickly. I'm not a fan of the charger for this laptop however. The wire is rather thin and I'm worroed long term about how well the charger will hold up. Overall, this is a sleek, lightweight, high-performance laptop that I would recommend for personal use.
I was super please with Acer. It was easy to get set-up and get started. There is Cortana, a talking system that can walk you through everything. I did not use this, but I would imagine it would be very helpful. I wanted to test the speed and so I downloaded and watched some movies. Everything was very fast and the movie looked very clear. Screen is HD1080 I am digging how thin the Acer is and perfect for travel. It takes up so little space. It is very light weight. It is less than 3 pounds (2.87 to be exact). The laptop has an HDMI, one USB 2.0, two USB 3, and USB 3.1 Gen port. There is a finger print reader you can set-up for security. I love that! They say the battery life is about 20 hours. There is a camera of course & microphone for skype. This is a great laptop for me!
