Active Ice Machine Cleaner and Descaler, Nickel Safe Solution, 1 Bottle, 32 fl oz, 8 Uses

I expected, as per directions, to have to put quite a lot of elbow grease into cleaning, but it did most of it for me. I just had to "pick up the pieces" so to speak. It's wonderful!

Our well water is incredibly hard and leaves calcium deposits on everything. The heating rods inside my ice maker were coated white and the machine was struggling to keep up. I used one tablet and let it sit for the full cycle and when I opened it up the rods were fairly silver again. The machine runs quieter now and the ice comes out solid instead of hollow and half melted.

From the outside, our ice maker seemed fine. Once the cleaner circulated, loosened particles appeared in the water that I never would have reached by wiping the tray. After draining and flushing the system, the interior looked better and the ice no longer had the stale taste we had started noticing.
