It is August here in Texas and of course, it's very hot. I put down the granules and some gel bait and they have been active with the granules right now. I have seen a huge decrease in the number of carpenter ants. In fact, the last day or two I've not seen any in the house. I will continue to use both about every six months. They may go more for the gel in Winter.
My house was invaded with Carpenter Ants and after a few weeks they're gone by using this product. It doesn't work immediately, but it works great.
I was happily surprised this works on carpenter ants, after my first day of spreading the granules on the perimeter of my house the next day I saw there were less around already, it does work. and the vendor is good %26 shipps fast, that's good for a change since i haven't seen good wmt marketplace vendors.
As far as I can tell ant nest is gone from back yard near house
Excellent product. Used one table spoon on my entire yard and the ants disappeared.
Works very well.
In spite of all the great reviews, I choose the 8 oz bottle rather than the larger unit, just for testing . I'm glad I didn't waste 110$ for the larger amount. The carpenter ants ignored the bait totally. Not a single colony was affected. I had to trace the ant colonies myself, then cut out the affected trees with chainsaws, then burn the colonies. I lost some beautiful oaks and an older Princess tree I planted 25 years ago, to rid myself of the colonies I was able to track down. Bad luck or bad product? These large carpenter ants were not attracted at all to this bait. I dosed each colony with 5 year home defense, actually doubling the mixing dose. So far nothing has worked except tracking, spraying with copious amounts of 5 year defense at double mixing dose, then cutting and burning the tree. So disappointed!!!!
Does not attract ants. I have many black wood eating ants and they have not eaten it.
Made the problem worse, not better.
Waste of money. Doesn't bait anything. A week later the size of the pile is unchanged and I've seen the carpenter ants walking around it at dusk. And dawn. I even watched a video from the manufacturer's website before placing the bait. Followed their instructions. I won't buy this again.
