I initially got this bc I was low on cash when the Cat Distribution System sent us our little boy for rescue. And like RESCUE, RESCUE bc he didn't just need a home, he needed emergency medical care. We had another cat at home so we needed him to be treated as soon as we picked him up. With the surgery and all, we needed to save $ somewhere and were initially concerned it wouldn't be as effective as it was so much cheaper than similar items. Well, I can say for sure this is good not only for preventing fleas but also getting rid of existing infestations bc I KNOW our little boy had them and this absolutely treated him fully. We now buy this to do both our cats monthly. Love the price point, easy to use and effective!

i worked in a vet clinic for years and when advantage came along it was a god sent...works so good on pets and easy to apply ...just follow the directions and your pet will be so happy after 24 hrs to get rid of those pests...you may need advantage ii if you need more protection from ticks also...

My cats are indoor cats; however, the dog brought fleas into the house. I had tried another brand of flea treatment to try to get rid of the fleas off the cats with no success. This one really worked. After one treatment, within days, the fleas were all gone from the cats. And, more importantly, stayed off. I used a different treatment for the dog of course, and once that was taken care of my home was finally flea free. I’m relieved I finally found a brand of flea treatment that works.

My 2 cats haven't had fleas for 2 yrs. This summer the 6 month old who is inside only and the 10 yr old, who is inside and out, got fleas. I used the treatment for 2-9 lbs and after 2 days the fleas were gone!!

I find it works 100% every single time to kill fleas almost instantly, and is cheaper than Advantage II (which doesn't work near as well as the original, I've tried both for years in case it was just a one time or two time thing, but it fails miserably every time and then i just buy the original formula). I will always get this one over the newer, supposedly "better" formula. As someone who gets bitten worse than my cats when there is an infestation (rare, as my fur babies are indoor only cats) (don't know why, my daughter doesn't even get bitten up like I do, must be a blood or pheromone thing) I can not recommend this enough.

it only kills fleas for about 2 weeks, I think that's why you get 2 applications. I wished Walmart would sell Selestro which has a wormer and mite removed

I used this on my young cat for 3 years. On the last dose, she became very ill during the following days. Blood panel for toxicity showed extreme toxic changes and she died. She was my favorite and I hoped we would go through old age together. I miss her so much!

It didn't help our cat at all. I still found fleas. I tried a few months of treatment and it didn't matter. Had to get the expensive stuff. I won't buy this again.

I checked it, and it was a sore, - an irritated and red patch of hairless skin - from I can only conclude the product. I won’t be buying this product again, and I’m angry that it hurt my cat.

NEVER AGAIN!! I thought I killed my cat! After an hour of application, I was in the bathroom and heard thumping sound in the house. I come out and see him running pass me and went to his litter box. He stuck his head out looked at me and gave a meow like hes in pain. Then started what looked like foaming at the mouth! I grabbed him and ran to the kitchen and wiped the remaining treatment off of him. He sat dazed for a while but back to normal. I went back read the box and one of the side affects is Hypersalivation. My cat is around 4 years old and 14 pounds by the way. Well over the recommended 9 pounds it suggest. Beware. I understand it might not be this way to some cats but be careful!
