Hartz Groomer's Best Flea Comb for Dogs and Cats

This is a good flea comb for cats, the teeth are very closely spaced together and will trap a flea, but you should be quick about dipping it in a bowl of soapy water and then wiping the comb with a paper towel (because it will jump off the comb.)… I think this is because the teeth are just a little too close together to trap the fleas effectively as some other combs, but overall definitely worth the price.

Worked very well! Worked in two types of long fur, fine and thick! De-fleaing kittens made this an essential work tool. Nice easy to grip handle wont slip out of your hand when working quickly and handling squirmy kittens. Ease of use- Super easy, it didn't get caught up or stuck in any of the fur and was able to allow us to part to see down to the skin easily.

I bought this comb because I suspected my cat had fleas, but thankfully he didn't. It turned out to be a great purchase anyway! My cat absolutely loves being brushed with it, and I've been using it every day. It removes loose fur well and has become part of our daily grooming routine.

I researched this first and it truly is the best flea comb. My old plastic one got a few fleas out but when I used the Hartz comb, the fleas did not have a chance. I am not adding a photo. No one wants to see a zillion fleas.

I wanted to make sure to find a decent replacement for my old all metal flea comb and this is great. The actual comb 'bristles' are metal like the older style yet the handle is a soft plastic that is much more comfortable to grip.

This comb is amazing! My senior cat started scratching her back end alot after we moved to a sandy area. i found LOTS of flea dirt going down her spine! She is an indoor only cat! First i used coconut oil to suffocate the fleas and their eggs. that helped alot but i also needed something to comb the flea dirt off her skin. This did the job 100%! I highly recommend it!

This flea comb is extremely well made and works very well. I have a long-haired golden retriever that has the double coat so the only thing I would recommend is that it needs the teeth need to be about 3/8 to a half inch longer because he has such a long coat, especially in certain areas, but it's excellent. It's better than any of the four or five others. I've tried for sure so I highly recommend this.

I've tried a few different brands and styles, but this is the best because: combs through all kinds of fur and pet hair easily without hurting skin; catches fleas, larvae, eggs, and fur mites; bright silver teeth make fleas, etc, immediately visible on the comb; high quality teeth let you smash fleas on the teeth before the fleas can jump off all over the place; shape of the top of the comb also is perfect for crushing fleas you might pull off the comb in pet hair and smash on a piece of paper; holds up well after lots of washing; teeth don't bend or break or pull out fur; and it's a great fur comb for your long-haired cats! You can get a comb for each pet and write their name on it for reasons of hygiene, too! Handle is a good size for anyone, easy to grip, and light weight is comfortable for use. These are not always available, so I recommend getting spares!

Worked well on my lab/am-staff mix. Did not hurt him. Seems sturdy and the design makes it easy to brush. Good size - not too small or or big. Cleaned off easily with a hose, but I did have to remove fur it collects several times.
