I really love these shelves. You can put them either way. I would say that the feel of these is very scratchy. If you wanted a more finished look, I would just get some sandpaper and whatever stain you want and do it that way, but they are solid wood and they are pretty shelves.

Exactly what I wanted
Easy to paint, easy to mount on the wall. I like that there is a hole for electrical cords, these shelves are great.

"AWFUL!" Afuly Floating Corner Shelves for Wall
Shelves do not hold 3 poundsof material. they are corner shelves but did not fit ANY corners in my house. Never mind i wanted to put in powder room would not fit any corner.
