Fred, the shark!

Teresa January 4, 2026

We loved this shark! Very entertaining! Named him Fred. We took Fred to the beach and carried him in Publix to fill him up and everyone looked! Don't take Fred outside unless you want to lose him! And don't get one of those little tanks of helium from stores because they don't make him fly. You have to go to a floral shop or somewhere they use helium and Fred will fly beautifully! I advise buying a shark like this for some wonderful fun!

Great with a slight adjustment

Mitzel January 6, 2026

The directions are long and the parts are delicate and fiddly. The double sided adhesive tape provided is nonsense. We ended up crazy gluing the fins on. That worked loads better. When it all comes together and the motor works correctly it’s a blast. The fun is learning the mechanics and navigating ceiling fans and corners. Stick with it and don’t give up when putting it together.

best gift ever

Patricia October 22, 2024

I purchased this shark for my 22 year old grandson. I had given him one when he was 8 or 10. he has always talked about it-that it was his favorite present ever. So I bought another for him and gave it to him at a recent family gathering. He was so excited- it worked perfectly and everyone had a good time with it.

Slightly Haunted %26 Plotting Escape 👀🎈

Ashley April 25, 2026

This was our second time buying this thing, because apparently I enjoy learning lessons the hard way. The first one took HOURS to put together because… surprise! There are absolutely NO instructions. Not inside the box. Not online. None. Just vibes. It lasted a solid two days before my child decided it should experience freedom and attempted to fly it outside. Spoiler alert: don’t do that. Ever. Unless you enjoy throwing money directly into the wind. 😫🤦‍♀️ So of course, right before Christmas, after hunting one down like it was the last Tickle Me Elmo of 1998, we ordered another one with high hopes and questionable judgment. Assembly was faster the second time since we were now unwilling experts in “mystery inflatable engineering,” but the excitement lasted maybe a few hours before everyone lost interest. Now it just… exists. The batteries died quickly, and changing them is basically an Olympic event. We have super high ceilings, so it has taken up permanent residence in the “sky” above our living room like some sort of judgmental airborne landlord. Honestly, I’m impressed with the helium because it’s been floating around since December like it pays rent. At this point, it just slowly patrols the ceilings, lurking in the shadows, silently watching us below… waiting. Waiting for someone to leave the front door open long enough so it can finally make its dramatic escape. I gave it this rating mainly because of the price. Definitely not worth more than about $20, especially with no instructions. And having to buy helium separately? Huge pain. Transporting this massive floating beast home in a small car feels like trying to kidnap a parade balloon. Overall: mildly entertaining, slightly haunted, and wildly overpriced.

it was a gift for my son in law. was disappointed that helium had to be put in before other pieces attached. So far he hasnt had a chance to get it filled.

Instructions were lacking much needed information, like ... look for a plug on the tail assembly. It needs to be oriented downward for the cord to reach. Otherwise you will find yourself juggling a lighter than air shark balloon, while trying to secure the 4 rubber bands to it. Pain with even 3 people

Don't waste your money on this. My grandson was so excited to get this for his birthday and it's junk!!! My daughter through it in the trash after following all the directions and getting it filled with helium as required. Again, don't waste your money!!!!

Waste of money, never worked! Tail far too heavy, caused it to sink tail first. Inflated it until it almost burst and it still wouldn't work. Removing the tail would allow it to float, but then it was just a balloon.

Looked good in videos, did not preform well

Diet December 28, 2016

Inflated it Christmas Eve, by morning the fins were falling off, the rubber bands holding the tail on had blown off also and had to search for the hooks. The adhesive holding the parts on has a major problem. Could not get it to run properly. Lost money on this deal after having buy helium also. Do not buy!
