It's literally the cutest little house and I love that it's so well insulated and had the heating pad for the babies, I do wish it was a bit bigger and the wood was a bit tougher bc the back roof hinge popped out when I tried to drill in the swing hinge and now it wouldn't stay together BUT we put a small piece of wood we had lying around in the back and it seems to be perfect and it really looks so cute! I hope it lasts long!
We needed an outdoor house for two cats that were abandoned by neighbors. They like the house and started using it quickly. It seems sturdy and warm with the insulated lining. I like that the roof opens to check on the interior. We've also added an outdoor heating pad to keep it toasty for them in the winter. It easily holds two cats.
Bought this insulated outdoor cat house for a homeless cat I take care of it's nice and warm for the cat only thing I did not like was the plastic door it was tuff for the cat to come in and out from if you added anything extra inside to help keep the Annika's warm
this is adorable. the cat house is big enough for the outside kitty. it was so simple to put together. i did it myself with no help from my husband or son! all you need is a phillips head screwdriver. Directions were simple and all hardware was included. you could easily have a second cat, but i wanted space for a thick blanket for warmth because cold weather has started to set in!
Very well made out of durable materials. Weather tight - it stayed nice and dry inside despite heavy rain. We got it for use by the street cats in our neighborhood who we've been feeding. So far none of them have gone inside it, despite the rain and cooler temps. We've tried to lure them in with food and catnip but there have been no takers. I'm hoping some cat will eventually use it. I'm glad we got it - maybe it will take them a while to warm up to the idea.
With winter here, i wanted to get something for the neighborhood cat that likes to hang around my house. Instructions were easy to follow and I was able to put it together by myself in like maybe less than 30 minutes. I will say i didn't add the hinge for the top because I wasn't sure if I'd be able to keep everything straight and screw it in by myself. Though the lid's just fine without it. It just wont stay up on its own
I returned this item, because I found a more affordable alternative for a stray cat that I'm feeding. I bought the Insulated Liner option for winter occupation. It was $88 after taxes. I can not speak to the quality or utility of this product. But, I bought it because it's wood construction, durable paint, asphalt roof, and has a washable insulated liner. Plastic polymer housing gives off gasses, which in hot/cold weather is not good air quality for any sheltered animals living outdoors. After I returned it and got a full refund, the same item with the insulated liner went on clearance for $60. It was over priced to begin with. 0/5 because it was over priced. 5/5 for being made with wood.
Easy to assemble. Material seems sturdy. the removable/washable liner is really great. There's a small opening in the bottom to run a cord through, which was perfect when I used a heating pad during a freeze. My outside cat loves this house. Looks are deceiving too. 2 large cats could fit in this house.
I had to have a man's help with a drill to put all the pieces together. For the price I expected it to come more assembled. But once we finally assembled it, it worked good. We plug it up on the porch on cold nights and the cat goes in there and she seems to like it. She's a medium-large cat. The roof of it can be put up or down. She wouldn't go in it at first until we kept the roof up, but then she was used to it and we put the roof down. She still went in.
I bought this thinking in cooler weather it would keep my cat warm because of the heated pad. After having this on for days wondering why my cat wouldn't stay in it, it's because it doesn't get warm I put my hand on it and never felt any type of heat from the heating pad. I feel as I wasted my money.
