our rabbit loves it but with her being on the larger side the ramp was to steep for her to get up. we needed to add a ramp from the old hutch to change angles %26 she goes up %26 down as she pleases even with it against the screen. * also the back is built like a hollow core door, while ours was delaminating from the top when we got it, be warned if you plan on changing anything that will require bolting/screwing to the back.
Pretty durable very spacious assembly instructions were very easy.
the bottom drawer has nothing keeping it from being pushed out the back I put something i could find
Not made as sturdy as I thought it would be. The wood panels are very soft but was easily put together and is doing its job.
I was very disappointed when I opened up the box to assemble the hutch. Some of the parts got damaged and broken. See pictures below. I don't think this is from the delivery, I think the seller knew about this but still sending that way. This is horrible. I'm guessing someone returned this item and the seller decided to sell it to me this way, thinking I wouldn't know. 😡
This has been the worst online shopping experience of my life, and I am simply fed up with Walmart for not doing better. I ordered two of the Aivituvin Rabbit Hutches totaling over $200 and they both showed up completely destroyed right out of the box. Unfortunately, I was depending on these for several animals I have recently taken into my care. The damage was extensive. There were major cracks running down the wooden panels, structural joints were entirely broken and splintered, and the wood had deep scratches and gouges. Even worse, there were exposed nails and staples protruding from the broken wood, creating a massive safety hazard for the animals and myself. To add insult to injury, the thin foam sheets and styrofoam packaging materials were actually glued directly to the wood! I spent hours of my time and energy gluing and clamping pieces back together to make them even semi functional, because as I said, I was depending on these. Luckily, I have a whole shop full of tools and materials. Tools and materials that I paid for, not Walmart. What was Walmart's solution? I was told I could rip it all apart, box it up, and ship it back. Never mind my lost time, the safety issues, or my wasted materials. I spent two hours talking to customer service, and they couldn't even look at the pictures of the damaged product. When I inquired about speaking to someone with more authority to help, I was actually asked, "Who would that be?" Well, I don't know, I don't work for Walmart. Isn't that your job? I am mad that garbage showed up at my door when I was up against a time crunch. I am mad that Walmart's customer service is completely unempowered. I am mad that I have to waste my time and resources dealing with this. This is unacceptable. Now, instead of spending more time and money shopping with Walmart, I will invest it in making sure everyone knows exactly what to expect from Walmart when you choose to do business with them. The truth is, Walmart doesn't care. They're perfectly happy to leave people like you and I holding the bag. Just like their customer service representives we're nothing but metrics, so I am going to take the one metric they seem to care about, money, and go elsewhere.
This arrived damaged. There was a hole in the box, several of the pieces were scratched and dented, and some of the hardware was missing. There were also several screw holes shown in the instructions that were not actually drilled, so I had to drill them myself. After only a day, my baby bunnies had already chewed through some of the wood. This is such low quality that it is virtually unusable, and I do not feel it is safe to have animals in this enclosure. Walmart was only willing to give me a refund if I disassembled it and shipped it back, which is not really practical. So now I am stuck with an unusable item that I cannot get refunded for.
Showed up damaged and many prices not built correct with nails not even holding and pieces of wood cracked and missing half the piece from the factory. Some damaged from shipping but several were interior not near box damage and completely missing the wood and cracked. Do yourself a favor and don't both only way to return is to spend your time and money taking back to the store u less you want to try to get back in the box lol good luck
The assembly instructions were NOT easy to understand. The wood is cheap and broke upon assembly. It doesnt come with pre-drilled holes so you will need a drill and the corresponding sized drill bits. After 1 week of being inside-not even outside, the hutch has already warped with only 1 guinea pig inside. The material for the roof sheds and comes off so its a concern if you have small children. The upper tray doesnt stay in and stick out.
Looks nice for the price but the trays leak so feces and urin get everywhere. Frame is corroding and cracking due to the urin exposure.
