Aleene's Jewelry & Metal Glue 0.7 fl oz, Dries Clear, Permanent Bond

A little disappointed in this item . It stated that it will be secure and dry clear . I tried it on 3 different plastic, metal and glass. All three were opaque and fell apart the next day . Considering that I may have done it wrong I asked my neighbor and it turned out the same.

I am a crafter who needs different kinds of glue for different types of projects. This gel glue stays where you put it. It drys quickly, but not so quickly that you don't have time to put the pieces together. It drys clear and works on metal, glass, and other smooth surfaces that other glues might not stick. Once dry, this glue forms a permanent bond and does not flake off. I can think of many ways this glue will come in handy and I'm sure I will be keeping this glue handy.

After e3000, e6000, hot glue, and super glue failed to adhere two glass beads together I embarked on this particular type of glue. it adhered well, and dried fast. exercise caution as I did stick my fingers to the project and had to use acetone to get it off.

Quickly bonds broken jewelry back together. Dries quickly, but beware of getting it on your fingers or clothes. It's near not being able to get it off.

Thus stuff is great. I use it on everything. I even used ut to glue my nosepiece back on my glasses which had broken off. Metal to metal and it's still holding. Saved me from having to buy new glasses. What I love most is that it works fast. Hold it in place for a few seconds and it bonds. Use it to make jewelry. Holds stones in place. Works on glass, metal, stones, ceramics, plastic, even leather!

I was looking for a glue for leather to repair my beloved leather wallet. It tore at the seam where my ID and most used cards reside and I didn't like the split at all. I went to Walmart and looked in the craft/sewing section and almost missed this gem. It was with the jewelry making stuff and I read the package and it said it can be used for leather. I was skeptical cause I always need glues for unusual stuff and most of the time they don't work. I tried Liquid Stitch for this repair before and it failed though it worked for a few months. But liquid stitch takes 24 hours to cure! This stuff was literally INSTANT! I put some on the seam and pressed it together and BAM! it was stuck together again! In fact it was such a good adhesive it glued the corner of my driver license into the wallet! It took me 10 minutes of struggling to finally get my ID out of the wallet. I had left the cards in the area so the gap of the seam would be just right and not too hard to pull the stuff out. It definitely works! Even after all that desperate tugging on my ID I thought for sure the bond would break on the seam but it held intact. I'm glad I found this stuff. I'd definitely wear gloves though when working with this glue, it's one of those that you can literally glue your fingers together and rip skin off. I didn't do this but I got a tiny bit on my finger and realized I was lucky I didn't press two fingers together. All in all this stuff is AWESOME.

purchased this glue for more than 10 years. In my last purchase, the tube did not have it filled. I continued to press on the bottom of the tube to get content out. About an inch. This has never happened. The glue is magnificent. It works with jewelry, but also with cracks in our microwave door and fridge drawers. I mix it with baking soda and it holds well. I usually wrap the lid with seram wrap to keep it from drying in between uses. Or else it will dry up.

Good hold. But DOES NOT DRY CLEAR. Cloudy, not clear as stated. Tried to illustrate on the photos. I wanted a clear drying glue. I cannot sell it this way.

The glue not only dried white but took the shiny sparkling look away from the gems causing them to look dull, and ultimately ruining the look I was going for. The packaging says that it “ dries clear” As you can you can see from the photos this NOT TRUE! I will be requesting a full refund for my money and will never use this product again. I only purchased this product because Walmart was apparently out of the B600 glue that I initially purchased and this was the only other bead/gem glue available.

Takes time to dry, a bit messy; gets “stringy like”. Tried using on several different items and did not stick at all or properly. Unfortunately disappointing overall. Still testing because I have it in the house and decided not to return because it's not worth the time.
