Almay Clear Complexion Pressed Powder, Medium

It seems that negative reviewers are attempting to use this powder as a foundation, not as a FINISHING powder. Don't blame the product for user error. I've used this product for years, along with the Clear Complexion Concealer and it's a great combination. As described in the "How to Use" it's best gently applied after liquid foundation and concealer. It's great at setting my make-up and reducing shine for long lasting wear. If applied gradually, it doesn't cake on, become discolored, or settle in smile lines. To provide more even coverage, I prefer to use a powder brush rather than the puff that comes with the compact. It's nice to have the puff though, if you're using the compact on the go! Just remember, less is more and this is not a product that is intended to conceal.

I use the concealer then this powder on top. It works really well for my skin and doesn't clog my pours like other makeup has. My favorite is the 4in1 powder.

Nice powder! Fights acne and takes away redness. What is more perfect than that <3 definitely an essential to have in your bag.

Decent coverage

I only use the clear complexion concealer and pressed powder (light), I have hypersensitive rosacea skin. This is light coverage but perfect for me. It does the job and does NOT aggravate my skin. I highly recommend this line!

Whenever I have breakouts, I use this to set my foundation/ coverup and it is convenient that it doubles as a treatment. While I don't know for sure that this help my skin clear up, it certainly doesn't add to the breakouts which is a win in my book! A bit drying though if you're skin isn't oily.

I used this a lot when I was struggling with acne breakouts. With bad cystic acne and oily skin, I needed a powder to conceal and work towards healing. Matte finish but not as much payoff as I would have wished. Probably would not buy again since my skin has changed to combination.

What is shown IS NOT what you actually get any longer. This pic shows the product I always loved...square shaped compact with a nice applicator pad inside made from cotton material. I thought I could order it online since I was not seeing it in stores any longer. Well, what I got is what is now sold in stores...a round compact with a thin sliver of what seems like soft cheap sponge material that cannot be used to apply the powder in the compact! Its more expensive than before and now they cut corners on the materials. Very disappointed.

I've bought your great pressed powder for yrs. When you changed from square compacts to round, I regretted buying & sticking to this Almay product. The mirror's placement is so weird it's wrong. I want to keep the powder section open to use it, but keeping both the mirror & powder open is simply awkward & bad design. Why did you make it more of a pain to use this great powder? I will not buy this Almay pressed powder again, but change to a compact with a reasonable setup, easily used & comforting to use. This round leveled design is nothing but annoying.
