I finally had a chance to use this. I got a pretty bad sun burn and rubbed this on and it cooled it right down. I had tried other products, but they did not work nowhere as well. If it works on sun burn, I imagine it would work as well on fire burns. You should have this on hand just in case. I highly recommend this product. Walmart has stepped up their game on shipping. I order on one day and get it the very next day. Walmart is my go-to store and the super-fast shipping make it even better
I burn myself a lot in the kitchen. I mean like a couple times every week lol. So I end up standing at the sink with cold water running on my burn. This stuff, takes away the burn! I put it on, and I do not feel the burn. I wondered if maybe the burn was just gone, but when I washed my hands and wash the stuff off, the burn was still there. So I put more of this stuff on and I do not feel the burn. I have never had a product work like this on Burns and I cannot say enough about it, I will use it
I had a hole in my oven mitt I didn't realize was there while I was cooking, and ended up with a nasty 2nd degree burn on my thumb. It was agonizing, my only comfort was a cold wet paper towel and an icepack meant for lunchboxes. I got this delivered same day, and it took the sting out of it within minutes. If I run out of this stuff and get a burn, I will be buying this again. A true life saver. I don't even normally leave reviews, but if you are desperate for relief from a burn, it is worth the extra few bucks to get this, trust me.
I bought this stuff after I burned my hand really bad using a hot glue gun. I wanted to go to the gym, but my finger started burning intensely even when placed in water. I ran to walmart, bought gauze, as well as this. I applied a big drop to my burn spot, wrapped gauze around it and it was almost instant relief. I applied it a few more times through the day to keep it moist, and when I woke up the burn was fully healed and didn't hurt at all. Would fully recommend this for burns! :)
This product was recommended by my electrologist for use following my long-session facial electrolysis and was she ever right! It soothed and cooled and took the "fire" right out as it moisturized. Fantastic product I'm convinced aided healing and certainly helped with comfort. Since, I've found it useful for other things...stove and sun burns, insect bites, the list goes on. Really helps!
my daughter had Stevens- Johnson's syndrome. it causes huge blisters and burns. the burns were extremely painful and we didn't get anything from the hospital. went to Walmart in Derby Kansas talk to the pharmacist there and he showed me alocaine 4% lidocaine cream. my daughter tried it and it kept her from tears. thank you so much for your pharmacist that are in that Derby store, it helped her so very much. thank you
This stuff is amazing for burns! Speaking of amazing…I am still amazed that one second of stupid resulted in second degree burns on my entire hand. Talk about painful, this is it! (Grabbed the handle of a pain right out of a 425 degree oven.) Put my hand under cool running tap water for about 20 minutes and then in cool tap water in a bowl for 2 or 3 hours. Kept changing the cool tap water to keep it cool. Yes, was still burning, but not as bad. Then saw this and had it delivered. Wish I had this in my medicine chest already. It worked wonders for relieving the pain, and it puts a protective coating over the burn. Had thirteen blisters, and in 2 days the blisters had all gone down without them popping so no chance of an infection. Please Note: Do not put ice on burns. You could get ice burn (yes, it's a thing), and never pop the blusters. The fluid inside blisters helps the burn heal. Buy this and keep it in your medicine arsenal. Just in case…And, if it is a very severe burn head to the nearest emergency room or burn center.
This is the only OTC alternative to BurnJel, which I can't find anymore, to treat my feet neuropathy. It doesn't last as long as BurnJel, but it does the same thing. I have found that when I mix it with Vaseline, wipe the mixture on my feet, and put on a pair of socks I get the best relief.
This gel was cool and soothing and the lidocaine def helped alleviate some pain. Only gave 4 stars because I wish it was more moisturizing long term. It was wonderful on the blister before it popped. After blister popped, I alternated, and sometimes used both Alocane and neosporin cream at same time. Having the lidocaine and praxomine helped when burn hurt %26 itched at same time…especially since burn was located in an awkward spot on neck as clothes rubbed against %26 pillow when sleeping. This gel when dried would peel (looked like skin). Overall, it helped with pain and has not gotten infected. It is healing nicely %26 hopefully will be light scar.
According to directions you can not use on anything that has blistered skin - so not useful on anything more serious than a mild sunburn? Not worth it!!!!!!!
