This is a great product, but WAY over priced! Hopefully more manufacturer's will start making these bikes again. They are just plain and definitely not worth more than $50.00
Was exactly what I was expecting. Perfectly sized Big Wheel for my preschool aged children. Big wheels are a wonderful tricycle in the way they are designed to stay low to the ground. If a child falls off, they are less likely to be injured beyond maybe a minor scrape. I grew up riding Big wheels and I'm glad the next generations have the opportunity to experience them as well. The primary colors are really fun and bold. The instructions on how to put it together were simple to understand and easy to follow. We were able to put them together in about 20 minutes... after we found the tools. Definitely worth every cent for all the days of fun for the preschool age children.
Takes me back to my childhood -- exactly like the one my brother had. Don't underestimate the time it takes to put it together correctly, and the front is a little tight, but I'm sure that will loosen with wear. My son loves it. He is 3.5 and very tall for his age, and still he has the seat at the shortest setting. Also, this arrived super fast, which was greatly appreciated.
Set up instructions were incomplete and not detailed. If you are not thinking through to the next step, you will end up with the pedals constructed before you have fixed the axel through the Big Wheel (Photo is how box showed up. I was concerned before I opened it that something may be missing or damaged. I know at minimum it left the warehouse previously opened)
The assembly instructions are wrong!! If you put the pedals on the front axle it will not go on the front wheel. The axle has too mutch play . It makes it extremely difficult to turn at low speeds. This is a cheap, sloppy fitting item. It is not worth the money. Save yourself time and trouble. Do not buy this. I am a former mechanic and boat builder.
If "No" stars could have been an option, that is what we would have chosen. Following the directions precisely, Step 1 was to put the pedals on the pedal shaft and then to insert the shaft through the big wheel. The pedal does not fit through the opening and the pedal can only be broken to remove it. Even if the pedals were fine, then a three year old would not be able to steer it due to EXTREME stiffness in the steering column!
This thing is a cheap piece of junk. The holes for the rear axel don't line up properly. One wheel is a good quarter inch closer to the front than the other. Everything is thin chincy plastic. I'm expecting the back wheels to fall off at the first decent bump. They're "attached" to the axel by a tiny compression button. I'd expect this kind of build quality out of a cheap Amazon knockoff, but this is the name brand. This is NOT the same big wheel I rode as a kid. I want a refund, and am tempted to contact the manufacturer to let them know what a poor product their churning out. No love went into this thing.
This product broke the second ride my 4 year old ever used it. The items used to put it together are flimsy and not worth the $. I am really hoping this was a defective piece because my big wheel I had in the 90's withstood everything! I will be emailing further.
Very disappointed, parts are missing, petals are impossible to stay on instructions say tap with hammer but they will not stay on. Box had been opened and taped back didnt notice until night before grandsons birthday. Husband had to use screws from his toolbox to attach wheels. We plan to try again tomorrow to attach petals by drilling a whole in the other end and attaching something to hold them on. I do not even want to let my grandson on this piece of junk.
I ordered this for my 3 year old son, it was meant to be one of his "big" Christmas presents. now I have to scramble to find something to replace it. its disgraceful for a company to send something like this to a customer. I didn't place an order for trash, but that's what arrived
