Alumilite Amazing Mold Maker - 16oz; 2-Part Red Silicone Mold Making Kit

This is a wonderful product for making molds. I use this for making button molds or making molds for fairy gardens. I've made mushrooms, doors, benches and light poles for my mini gnome garden and fairy gardens rather than sculpting numerous items. It's nice to just make the molds. It's easy to use and a timesaver. I highly recommend this product!

We love the Amazing Mold Maker silicone at our studio. This stuff really punches above it's weight class in almost every catagory. The detail it can pull is astounding, it sets up easily, has a long enough working time to complete vacuum degassing, is easy to clean up, and has yet to have cure inhibition issues for us in the studio.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used Alumilite RTV silicone mold Maker for a 2 piece mold for casting a mid-sized Native American blade and the Platinum Silicone kit for single stage casting a narrow blade. Both had great success as the tan plastic resin kit shows great detail in the making of the artifacts that is lost in color variations of the originals.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Save yourself a lot of time, money and frustration! Just buy this product. It's easy to use your molds are very strong! I cast rise in pieces and I've been using some of the molds I made for almost 5 years making hundreds of castings!

The video demonstration for a two-part mold was informative, and I learned one primary technique from Maise Design by watching the video. This technique where a layer of clear contact film was applied under the mold box was new to me. I am always uncertain what adhesives may inhibit the cure of the Amazing Mold Maker rubber. I will try this technique after I pick up some clear contact film.

I used this product for my first time making molds & I was really impressed! It was easy to use, and very easy to work with! I loved how the two parts are different colors so it makes it much easier to tell when it's completely mixed. I was able to capture many FINE TINY details in pieces & I've already used my new handmade molds! They work great! I'll be using this product again for sure!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mold Maker itself is easy to use and works well. To mix it I used special tiny paddles that I attached to my drill and it made mixing a breeze. Once cured the mold made an exact replica of the original. The most difficult part of the project for me was making the box to house the mold which took longer than making the mold itself. I would definitely buy this again because using it was the easiest part of the project!

I found that the platinum-based mold maker is much easier to use and much less messy to work with since it was much easier to pour and measure out. Both mold makers created excellent molds.

This is one of the easier mold products to work with. Easy to measure and really fast to set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I made several molds with this. I didn't like the quality of the castings. I switched to a different product and found it to give me the crisp details of what I was moulding. But it is an easy product to work with and helped me get started.
