Amana 5,000 BTU 115V Window-Mounted Air Conditioner with Mechanical Controls, AMAP050EW

We highly recommend this air conditioner. There were a couple of steps involved in the installation, but if you simply read the instructions (not my finest skill), it's easy peasy. It's smaller than our last unit, but it's doing twice the job and keeping our house much cooler.

Honestly, when I first bought it, I installed it and it blew nothing but hot air, but to find out that a nut came loose for the fan. Put the nut back together. Turn it on blue. Nothing back cold the company who I got it through but willing to do a refund and return, but after fixing that one small problem, I've been using it now since November and it's been keeping a trailer with no shade pretty cool

the air conditioner is great, i live in an apartment complex and the handyman here, well lets just say i not sure he knows how to do his job. our AC is not working right, have reported it but no one has come to fix it. the little unit cools the whole apartment. so glad to have it.

Due to the window unit going out in our small cottage that our daughter and her husband live in, we had to invest in a new one. We read the reviews and decided to give it a chance. Price was right at the time and arrival time was awesome! They are very pleased with the unit.

We really like our new A/C. It is quieter than the one that I had. Works great and cools kitchen and the living room area great.

i love that its NOT made of all styrofoam inside.. i love that its made in the usa..i love that it cools like its supposed to.. months later.. i love the nice quiet running.. not silent . but easy to sleep to..

Unfortunately when unpacked the side was dented pretty badly. As we had a very warm house and we are oxygen depended people and our installer was coming over in an hour., returning it was not an option. It works well , even though it doesn't look well from the outside. The photos show the damaged side and the good side. Not pleased with care of handling

I bought this about a week ago. Very disappointed. I had a different brand 7000 btu a few years old AC to cool about 450 Sq ft. It would only cool enough to maintain the temp in the room at about 80 in 95 degrees weather. So I bought this Amana 10000 btu that is supposed to cool a room this size. It does not work any better than my older 7000 unit. I would return it but I am disabled and have to have someone do it for me, which is hard to do.

unable to review this item as it was left damaged at my door. there are multiple dings and bends in the air conditioner and the container was completely destroyed. I need to return it but don't have any packing materials and I am disabled and cannot carry it.

Delivered March 17th, now May 6th out of return range and is not working correctly. Runs 5 seconds then cuts off, then tries again and sometimes runs ok other times stops again.
