Help with our any problem
Had ants in my pantry. Put these bait traps in there and in 24 hours no more ants . Have not see any since
These work GREAT! We moved into a new house this spring and we have had a HUGE problem with ants. I had sprayed both inside and out but they kept coming. I have 2 kids, one asthmatic and one is a toddler, and indoor cats so I have to careful about spraying. I put the stakes out along the perimeter of the house like it said on the package and I have not seen an ant in the house since the day after I put them out. I couldn't be happier.
These work great. You can nail them to a tree that the ants are destroying.
So I ran around town looking for grants kills ants only to find out the name and formulation has changed. These still work, they work really good but one thing I learned back from when I used Grants: these work amazing indoor or out, but for some reason the ants will not be attracted to the baits. What I do is take a toothpick and stir them up, pour some sugar in the hole and mix it into the gel substance, then I make a trail with the gel substance to bait them in the hole. I smear some around the edge of the hole to the edge of the trap down the side and a little bit near where I want them to walk up. I will then put a little more sugar around the edges and put a few of them together. I will put them DIRECTLY in the path of the ants. This is the only way that Grants has ever worked for me, these work about the same, obviously without the arsenic they are significantly less efficient but give them a chance and make sure to ENTICE the ants to your traps. I think that if the corporate people realized this or tried it themselves they would tell you all the same thing. For some reason the gel just keeps the smell in so really get in there break it up, mix in the sugar, and make that trail with just a little bit. You really gotta get them interested in the area.
i purchased this product because i couldn't find the TERRO brand ant baits at my local walmart anymore. terro has always worked for me in the past but i figured i would give these a shot. i put the amdro out and the ants would never go in the bait station, they would only go around. i left it there for over a week and still nothing.
AMDRO - 5 reviews, not including this one, all saying the same thing. What gives - please answer. The directions are very lite. Are you supposed to activate the bait somehow? Took them out of the package, laid several around the kitchen near the ant trail - NEVER witnessed an ant touch the thing not any indication that the ants took the bait! Waste of money!!!!!
I am dealing with an invasion of tiny ants. I sprayed the exterior of the entire house and put these stakes under the kitchen counter, on the counter and in the cabinets after thoroughly cleaning the entire kitchen. I have spent 4 entire days steam cleaning, scrubbing, vacuuming and wiping with vinegar every single surface in a kitchen that was clean already. I have no idea what is drawing the ants to my kitchen but these stakes are completely ineffective in helping to discourage them. The ants march a wide path around them!
I had ants in my garage. They would march from their hole to my garbage bags. They would just march around the stakes. I even placed 2 around the hole blocking the entrance. Yet they would just go around versus crawling over top let alone try any bait. The solution? Diatomaceous earth.
