Anyone that uses this product must allow 24 hours to dry. However, like any chalkboards you have to (season your board) by placing a piece of chalk sideways on the board and lightly move right to left covering the entire board with chalk ~ Then, erase and begin using....

Pretty Good
I like this one because it isn't shiny black. It is a matte finish.

Awful
Followed the instructions and waited a proper amount of time between coats and before using. On one chalkboard, I wrote some drink specials that change frequently. When I tried to erase one to write another, it would not erase. The words barely lightened a single shade. Tried the rest of the board and same thing. So cannot use that one. For another board, I tried to "season" the chalkboard before writing on it to avoid this issue. The chalk would cover some spots and not others, and all of the paint just started peeling off! See photo. Terrible. I've never used chalkboard paint before so I didn't want to spend too much money but I'm wishing I spent a little more. For better quality, it would have been so worth the time and frustration I wasted on this.
