I used this for dollhouse walls made from MDF. I wasn't sure how it would hold up on that type of material since it is so porous, but it is holding very strong so far. I can't wait until I have another project to test it out on.
As far as glues go, this stuff is the beast that rises above the others. Used correctly and it can fix a myriad of issues. Misused and it becomes quite a bane in life. So folks, glue responsibly...
Now it's a classic glue. Should be in everyones toolbox. Read directions! It's not the usual put it on glue. There's a process with excellent holding strength.
I needed it to glue together some large foam panels as long nails would not do the job. Just applied a long thing line of the glue and sprayed some water over it and connected the panels, then in a couple hours they were filled up with the foam for a strong tight fit
Love this glue. I use it on everything. From my reaching stick to car part repairs. Saves me A LOT of money.
I bought this for an experiment: Glue soles back onto athletic shoes. I've previously tried every flexible-when-cured adhesive known to man. No Luck. (Believe it or not- Cheap hot glue was the best- until this came along.) I don't know why I didn't think of polyurethane adhesive earlier. This polyurethane adhesive worked very well on the shoes. I was surprised. About twenty-four hours after application (with a 2 hour clamp time), I flexed the shoe like crazy. Next I tried tearing the sole off. After that, I soaked the joint in water. It held up just fine. When it's well below zero degrees, I will be interested to see how well the glue holds. Note that the bubbled out adhesive where I over-applied was easy to scrape off. It was light tan in color. Also note that I tired it on steel-to-steel and wood-to-wood. The steel worked well
This glue the the bomb. Works great
Very excellent Thank you for that the person galla flu.
What can I really say except that this stuff is awesome? It is so useful for many things and I have repaired furniture and shoes and used it for many different tasks. It is strong enough for most applications and quite versatile and will stick to most surfaces that are not completely smooth or plastic. The only reason why I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5 is because it could still be better. One issue is that you should keep air from getting into the bottle because the humidity / water vapor will react with it and tend to harden it. Most of the time, I can't even use half of a bottle of this before I have to take a small nail and pound it through the nozzle to break through the hardened surface, though I am going to be more careful this time with this bottle and squeeze out the air and place the cap securely on to close it. Maybe a metal squeeze dispenser could work better? Also, I don't spray or pre-wet the surfaces I am gluing and so it usually takes about 30 minutes to expand and harden up, but that is fine for most applications, and YES, even though it is quite strong, there could be applications where you want something that is better for that specific purpose. Overall though, this stuff ROCKS in my opinion though and part of the reason why is because it SAVES me money :) There are many things I would have had to spend a lot of money on to buy new parts or I would have tossed various pieces of furniture in the trash ... but Gorilla Glue saved the day and for probably 50 cents worth of glue. If I had a suggestion, t would be to buy one of these and then USE IT (within 6 months or a year) and see how much you can save or easily fix with it. Every bottle of this has saved me 3 times its value and it could do even more, with a bit more creatvitity ;) Good luck with your projects etc.
I bought this glue to glue a piece of rubber on my doggie stroller, but before I got 1/2 block it came loose. I even let it sit for 24 hours to cure. Several people recommended this glue to me. I also tried to use it Ti glue the soul of my shoe together, but it came undone before I could get out the door. I have been very disappointed with this glue.
