LOOK I AM HANGING ON BY A MOMENT SO YOU BEAT THE COMPETITION AS I FELL ASLEEP FINALLY WOKE UP AND WRAPPED MY BOOKS TO PROTECT THEM AND MOST PEOPLE DON'T KNOW THIS ABOUT SUITCASES AS NOT TO PUT TOO MUCH WEIGHT IN A SUITCASE YOU PICK UP EACH END OF THE SUITCASE AND YOU BALANCE IT AND IT WILL GIVE YOU GREAT SUCCESS AS TO NEVER OVERPACK THE SUITCASE.
Really like this suitcase. I didn't bother unzipping the expansion, as it was bigger than i needed without it. It has toiletries pockets and divided that zips up so that stuff doesn't go everywhere when you open it. I would recommend drawing an up arrow on it when you pack it, so you know which side is zippered up. If you open it the other way, stuff might come out. It does have straps to help hold stuff in on that side. Its light, and slightly flexible, but survived our trip without a scratch or dent. It seems very strong.
Great price on a very well made bag. I like the additional handles on the sides, they make it much easier to get it off a baggage carousel. This is the second one of these I bought, the first was larger. Excellent value.
I I really like this hand carry bag for my international flights. Sometimes, if my trip is a week or less, I just use this. They seem to fit in the overhead bins, ok. This is the second one that I purchased. It also works as a small check-in bag. I got the blue one to pair with the green one. A little more pricier than other similar luggage, but they seem to be built well, thats why I purchased the American Tourister brand.
It’s durable and lightweight until you load it with clothes and then it’s pretty darn heavy. I personally struggle to lift 30 lbs so I know it’s heavier than that. It rolls very easy even over thick carpet. But even with the various handles I couldn’t get it up on the bed to unpack. Obviously I unpacked it on the floor. I’m 73 so young folks take that into consideration. Should have bought it for myself 30 years ago (don’t think they were made yet.)
I would say that the wheels are ify. All suitcase wheels are ify, for sure, but these ones are roller ball looking. not much stability. Overall, it's an alright suitcase. Might want a suitcase strap or 2 for peace of mind. It is light-weight, hard shell with two "toss" handles (that's what I'm calling them), and suits my needs. Theres enough space to plan a getaway for like 14 days if you know how to pack well, and bring a couple decent sized souvenirs back.
We love these bags. This is the 4th one we have purchased. I now have the one small one, two medium size and one large one. These are very strong and lots of room inside. The wheels are great and have never let us down. After 4 trips overseas they still roll like the first time. The carry handle is well built and strong. I like the side handles as it gives you something the grab when placing on its side. The zipper seems good, have not had any issues with that.
We just returned from our first trip using this suitcase, and it held up fine. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that when I got it off the baggage trolley, there was a part of the zipper that had let go. I unzipped past the bad spot and it zipped right back up, so I don't thnk it's a permanent problem. I really had it stuffed full - more than I should have. I expect to be using it whenever we travel.
I bought this because of the brand name has a reputation of quality and a lifetime warranty. However, the warranty means shipping a 28" suitcase at your cost to an authorized repair center. Less than one year, the wheels don't roll straight and the pull tabs break off and I've used it 5 times. The case is light, the handle works, but it's the lack of quality for the 2 star review. I've had less expensive off-brand bags that lasted longer for a lower price. Unless you live next to a major airport, getting it repaired under warranty will cost more in time and money.
It's a decent bag for car trip trips, but they are not sturdy enough to be used for air travel. If you want to take it on a plane consider it a one-time use bag. I have already went though 6 of these bags now (all 3 sizes) hoping the first damage was a fluke since it seems like a fairly solid bag, but it is not. My most recent replacement bag went on it's first trip this week and now the handle is bent and won't go back into the suitcase (happened to 3 of the 6), a zipper pull is broken off (happened to 6 of 6), and one of the wheels is starting to stick (happened to 2 of 6). I took the larger one to Vegas last year and when if came off the plane the side handle and a wheel were ripped off. Guess I'm back in the market for another bag.
