Master Lock TSA Approved 3 Dial Resettable Combination Luggage Lock, Color Variety

Perfect lock for locking things that would otherwise be difficult to do with a normal solid lock. I have a storage box that has a hole for a lock but you could not use a normal hard locking lock and needed a wire locking mechanism to feed through the hole which this fit the bill perfectly. You can also reset the lock by pressing and holding in the button at the bottom of the unit but only when you have opened it first which is a security feature.

This was the first time I used locks on my luggage when flying and it gave me a secure feeling. I was glad to be able to feel safe with my belongings.

Great little lock, we ended up using it for the gym. Sometimes I just have trouble reading the numbers in different light conditions.

Ordered 2 packages of 3 black locks per package = 6 locks total and uniformed. Received 6 individual packages of different colored locks - not what I ordered. Although Master Lock is generally superior in quality, the shackle is more flexible and longer than most locks. This makes the lock not as "tight %26 secure" with the luggage rings or tabs. Resisting movement of the lock attached to the luggage rings or tabs, keeps both items intact more securely. The description: "Flexible braided steel shackle resists handling abuse." However, the longer the shackle, the more it is loose, and the more it can get caught on something, pulled from the luggage, or caught and the luggage rings are broken, thus ineffective. I have not utilized the locks as of yet; will be traveling soon and will see how they hold up "in traffic" so to speak. I still am displeased with the multi colors I did not order. Attempting to exchange them was a lost cause. Apparently, the package of 3 is out of stock (which was not indicated upon ordering), and someone thought these items were an adequate substitution - for me. A BETTER process would be a quick email (reaching out to the buyer) indicating "out of stock" and what might be substituted in its place. Then, the buyer could confirm or cancel the order. This might reduce returns or dissatisfied customers. A short delay in delivery to receive what was desired in the first place, or one's own choice to continue with the order, would probably be acceptable by most people. Just a thought!

The combination for the lock was very hard to put in and to maintain. I ordered only one lock and received two locks without my approval . Same for the luggage tags that I ordered. I had to return both locks and both luggage tags

I like other combination locks better because it is easier to set the combination with just your fingers. With this lock, you pretty much need a pen tip, paperclip, or something to push the bottom button, which is flush with the lock. I don't plan to reset the combination, but other combination locks are simpler to use.

Really difficult to set the combination. You have to use a pen or something to push the button while spinning the numbers because it's too small of a button for fingers. Even as a dentist that works with tiny objects in my hands I couldn't make it work. Now I have one that won't open on 000 and won't open on the code I set it to. I would not buy these again.

It worked perfectly when I packed for my flight. I tested it several times. However, when I arrived at my destination hotel, it would not open. I had to have someone from maintenance literally cut the lock off and I had to fly home with unlocked luggage.

1 out the 2 locks opened with the default code. So, now I'm one lock short for my international travel today. This is annoying because I have no time to head to a store to get a new one, nor do I want to purchase another lock when these 2 should have worked.
