Brinks Portable Door Lock

Absolutely love this product. It works absolutely great on a variety of doors. it requires no installation so you don't have to put any screws or anything on your door. it's completely portable and can be switched to any door you wish to use it on with complete ease. I couldn't install a chain lock on my door because of the need of screws so I got this as an alternative and I love it. used it at multiple homes and Love the extra sense of security I get from it. whether you're traveling or at home and want that extra peace of mind I definitely would get one.

I really love this and I'm happy that it is so affordable. It truly keeps the door immovable. And it provides excellent security. I'm very happy with this item and I suggest it to everyone. You should have for every door honestly. Especially if you are living alone. I do find it to be a little hard to get locked in just right but it is very good once locked in place. The chain broke on mine but it works just fine Al the same

One of the most simple and useful pieces of equipment. I have around the house. I have to say, once I sat down and learned how to use it. It is my all time favorite lock. I definitely plan on getting some for gifts.

If you travel, or just need an extra piece of security in your own home, the front or back door. Perhaps, your bedroom? This device is an amazing tool. It's so easy to use, lightweight and priced to buy. They also make a great gift!

I got this for hotel doors. Works great and takes up almost no space in overnight bag. Also a MUST for your VRBO ... never know who will show up in your rental!

a little hard to figure out, but solid once it is installed. i dont rhink a kick to the door is strong enough to break it down with the Brinks lo k installed

Rep was very accommodating and professional. However the resolution was not optimal. The rep offered a refund and not have to return the item, rather than me physically go to Walmart to return the item. Previously, I have been offered other options Fed Ex pick up, drop off at USPS... I don't feel right keeping an item that I cannot use/throwing away a usable item that is not used even though I believe the advertising on the Walmart site and packaging did not clarify I phone 13 could not use this product. I said I would find a way to get it back to Walmart, although that is why I shop on line I do not want to have to drive to Walmart.

I have used other brands of this type of lock before. This one seems to be lacking in being a secure fit. It never really wants to catch securely. It just feels loose.

I found that the way this wedges the door shut made it difficult to remove. Thought it was too risky to use it as it might be too difficult to remove in a fire or other emergency. It's also fairly heavy, so if traveling with a very limited weight allowance that could also be a problem.

I don't know because I have a door that opens out, and this apparently works on a door that opens inward. Still awaiting good test location.
