Americanflat 8x8 Picture Frame with Shatter-Resistant Glass with 4x4 Mat Display Photo Hudson Wide - Black

I needed a frame for an 11x17 concert poster. After a lot of searching, I finally settled on this one. It looks great on my wall with this Stinkfoot Orchestra poster in it. At the time of purchase, it was competitively priced. It's a nice, neutral shade and is made from real wood, so grain shows through. It would be really lovely with an ocean themed or surf photo in it, as the color reminds me a lot of the pale sands I've seen on so many beaches. It features real glass and has a black, pressboard type backing with two hinged hangers - one vertical and one horizontal. The frame also includes a thin, white mat, which is a nice touch, as well because it bridges the gap between the poster and the edge of the frame. If you are looking for a true 11X17 frame, that will fit a the poster perfectly, without a mat, this may not work for you. My poster already had a white border, so the mat just added to that. I am satisfied with the look and ease of use, so I would definitely look to this brand again for future frame purchases.

Very nicely packaged for shipping. Item is as expected from pictures and description. I find them to be pretty, good quality and good value. I also bought the same frame in another size.

The frame is a beautiful matte finish blue. I picked it out to match my granddaughter's gorgeous eyes and they compliment each other perfectly. The matte in the frame is very nice and makes it into a nice 5x7 frame as well.

I was hoping these frames wouldn't look cheap- especially with the plastic “glass”. The frames themselves have a nice fit in the corners and the “glass” (plastic) is super clear. They work perfectly for my needs and much more affordable than anywhere I looked. I'd recommend.

Looks more expensive than it is. I used it to frame a very special post card and the mat was just the right size.

I frequently purchase these frames. Practical for my needs. A bit pricey, the plexiglass (in lieu of actual glass) is okay but easily cracks (two of seven frames that were delivered to my home this week had cracked plexiglass). I'd recommend these frames, it would be nice if they were a little cheaper and when delivered the delivery rep should look over and replace, not just leave at the front porch.

I wasn't crazy about knowing it had plexiglass rather than glass. It came packaged well and both sides had plastic protection which kept it free from scratchs. Once I placed my picture in it and hung it I would definitely recommend it. I only wish it had a wire on the back to use. I was able to put wire using the two tabs across the back. The price was spot on.

The review says it's "polished tempered glass", but it's actually plexiglass. The saw tooth hangers are held in place by a couple of small button like rivets and can break off quite easily. The wood frame is solid enough, but I wouldn't give you much for the rest of it.

The item arrived damaged. The wood frame itself was cracked and broken, perhaps due to both low quality and poor packaging.

I ordered this brand a few times and every time I returned their photo frames. Americanflat brand picture frames interior dimentions don't correspond to the listing size description. They're smaller. My option is to cut my picture or return their frame back to the Americanflat distributor. That's nonsense. Buyers beware!
