I have not used these baking dishes yet, but I can at least comment on a few points regarding the quality of the product. This is not thin glass. It is heavy duty and the weight is noticeable. I cannot remember the price exactly, but I believe it was about $5 each. I bought two of them because I am suddenly interested in cooking casseroles like scalloped potatoes, eggplant parmesan, hamburger casserole, huevos rancheros, broccoli cauliflower, and a long list of others. I seem to be in casserole mode right now. I have a 9 x 13 inch casserole dish, ceramic, which is great. However, with just me and my wife, it makes too much for us to finish eating in in a couple of days. Ergo, I needed a smaller 8 x 8 inch casserole dish that will make about 3 to 5 servings that will last me and wife about 2 days. Great product. I would buy it again. I am not a paid reviewer.
I am a Personal chef. I Use these containers constantly for my services. Some Clients have a bad habit of not returning Lids or the containers themselves. I was easily able to find replacement containers at Walmart and I received them THE NEXT DAY! The price was AMAZING! I was so excited!! Perfectly packaged, glass all safe and sound. Will be purchasing a lot more in the future!
I have carpal tunnel in both hands and I have dropped and broken every glass dish including my dinner plates, etc. The glass this baking dish is made from is very thick but not really heavy. Everything I bake in it comes out perfect on top and bottom.
Excellent quality glass makes this my go-to dish for baking, cooking, and even warming. Once it's greased or sprayed with oil or non-stick spray the cooked food is easily scrubbed off with hot water and dish soap (I soak it for a few minutes first). This is a great addition to my kitchen arsenal.
It's great quality, inexpensive price. I've bought 3 (I do a lot of baking) and they're the perfect size to bake a cake. Or anything you want. Clumsy me I've dropped one few time and not a scratch. Hope everyone has a wonderful week.:)
The first time I used the pan in the oven, it exploded in the oven… I made sure to use it using the specifications (it is reported to be oven safe for 425 degrees, and I was using it at 400 degrees). It was sitting at room temperature and then placed in the oven so it wasn’t even an issue of “thermal shock.” It ruined my entire dinner, and now I have to clean up broken glass from my oven. I do NOT recommend this baking dish.
This item cannot handle heat at all eventhough it claims as a baking dish. My one scattered into pieces with just 10mins into the oven and the temperature was way below the level it mentioned it could handle.
DO NOT BUY THIS - shattered into a million pieces on first use. absolutely ridiculous. thankfully my daughters didn't get hurt. good luck getting a refund too 🤦♀️ I don't know how you're supposed to return the item when it's in little shards all throughout the oven %26 they only give the option to return to store, FedEx it, etc.
I never even got to use this once. As soon as I got it, my husband was washing it in the sink under hot water and it literally broke into at least 50 pieces. He was still holding the handles! He didn’t bump it against anything, the water just made it shatter. I’ve never seen anything like this and I’m just glad I didn’t use it for food!
It shattered on the first use! I’m so angry. It says safe to use up to 425* and I had it on 325*. I’m so angry. DO NOT BUY!
