Anchor Hocking Glass Food Storage Container with Lid, 7 Cup Round

These are nice bowls! I don’t really use them for their intended purpose upon purchasing. I bought them for dough proofing but they’re small for that. At least for more than one of my thin crust pizza doughs. For other things? My wife grabs them all the time. They get used for larger left over containers. They are a good large bowl to eat from if you’re a big bowl eating kinda person. The lids are kind of crappy. Mine have warps on the edges a bit. They won’t give you a great deal. That’s fine though. I kind of expected it and the price was right. I’d say, verify size in person. They’re not small. They’re not BIG. They’re larger but depends on your purpose. If you can’t go in person? Check liter sizes of different bowls and get yourself an estimate. Overall? I’m happy.

I tried to find Pyrex containers like those bought years ago, but it seems to have nearly disappeared from Walmart stores and is limited on Amazon. Anchor Hocking is very similar to Pyrex and is also made in the USA. I was pleased to find it in my local Walmart and also ordered from the website. Although both companies offer plastic storage too, I prefer glass for hot foods and tomato based dishes.

I bought this specifically for microwaving soup etc. Non-staining glass - perfect. This larger size prevents boil over messes. Also great for going from fridge to microwave for reheating. Can freeze in it, too, although I use mine too often to keep it in freezer. Appreciate having dedicated lid. Very useful piece. Good value!

Perfect size container to make casseroles for one or two people. Great to reheat things in as well. The design is kinda hard to grip cause there’s no handles so make sure you get good heat resistant oven mitts and hold onto both sides with both hands. It gets slippery and heavy and hot not a good combo. I like that it comes with the lid for storage.

I cannot stress to you how badly you need these bowls. I bought 5 and they are in constant use. They are the perfect size. I’m going to order 5 more. I have been using Anchor Hocking products for over 30 years and with proper care they are indestructible. I have never had to replace a lid or anything else and each piece looks as good as it did when I purchased it. Get these. You won’t regret it.

Good seal. Put the lid on the bowl , press the middle of the lid and raise the edge of the lid around the bowl and extra air comes out. I cook extra food one day and put it in the bowls and put them in the freezer. I have food to warm up in the microwave a few days without cooking. Don't use the bowl lids to heat up the food in the microwave, use a microwave cover instead.. The bowls are easy to clean also. I have had the bowls a few months and like them very much.

What I like about these bowls is the size, not to big or too small. The perfect size for storing my leftovers . Glass is all I use for storing food products, plastic is a thing of the past. Dishwasher safe, but keep the kids on upper rack far away from heating element. Also, keep away from heat from the oven. The lids are not heat resistant, but only for storing, Very reasonably priced especially for 2 bowls, trust me I have already looked at several other selling platforms and they were significantly higher priced.

Bought 6 of these 7 cup bowls and 4 of the 4 cup bowls over time. At first they were good, later the lids do not seal and get distorted to the point of being useless. Others are putting in reviews stating the same things. If in the dish washer it's on the top shelf as advised but they still fail. If the lids are replaced , as they should be , I will test these by not using the dish washer at all so we can tell if it's the dish washer or just the faulty lids? Either way they should replace these lids. They are not that old. Could be a great bowl IF they did what the manufacture says. Waiting on the 6 replacement lids. Lets see if they stand behind their bowls. The other size bowls do the same identical thing??? It's a shame they do not do as their ad states. The warped lids will pop off the bowl or crack when in the refrigerator. If they do not replace the lids that will be another manufacturer crossed of our list. I would like it better if I had received it. I know better, but I did it anyway. I had it "shipped" to me which when all was said and done, it was to be delivered by driver from store. My address is a couple of miles down the highway from the store but most drivers can't seem to find it. This delivery was dropped off at a vacant field according to the delivery picture. I can't even imagine why the driver would leave it there.

The lid cracked after only a few days of use, really disappointed in this product. What a waste of a container they need to make the lid a little stronger.
