Several factors deplete our magnesium, so I make health care products for our family with these magnesium flakes. We really like the magnesium oil for deoderant, night time spray and body cream. It dissolves nicely in warm water and does't have a scent so can be used in anything. I've added essential oils to it as well. Definitely recommend and will continue buying.
I originally got this to make a magnesium lotion to help with aches and pains but used it while waiting to get other ingredients by making magnesium "oil" (equal parts water and this product.) It works great for the relief of muscle aches! I've also found that I've slept better after using some right before bed. This is really good quality and a great price!
I've been using Ancient Minerals Magnesium Bath Flakes after long days on the pickleball court, and they've become a staple in my recovery routine. After hours of playing, my muscles are often sore and tired, but soaking in a warm bath with these flakes helps me relax and unwind while easing that post-game soreness. The flakes dissolve easily, and the bath feels incredibly soothing. I always notice that my muscles feel less tight afterward, and I leave the tub feeling refreshed and ready for another day. If you're active, play sports, or simply deal with muscle aches and tension, I highly recommend giving Ancient Minerals Magnesium Bath Flakes a try. They've made a noticeable difference in how I recover after pickleball and other physical activities.
I tried this magnesium crystals to soothe my injured muscles and arthritis in a hot bath and it seems to work considerably better than when I use Epsom salts to treat injured muscles. It's a bit pricey but well worth buying if you suffer from chronic pain in your muscles. Consult a doctor before using though if you already take a magnesium supplement to make sure you don't over do it on the magnesium levels in your body.
Magnesium chloride is much better for the body and gentler on the skin than magnesium sulfate (Epsom salt). Doing a strict keto Candida regimen, we needed this as soon as possible; Walmart was not the fastest option, and on top of that, it was delayed. We used 2 cups in a bath of about 3 inches of warm water for soaking. It's expensive, so we try to use it conservatively.
So far so good--not sure if it works more than generic (used 2 cups/bath). On bag it did say "add up to 1 bag per bath," and I don't think I. down for the Dead Sea/8lb salt/$30 bath experience—but I'd love to hear the results if someone else took that risk.
The Ancient Minerals Magnesium Bath Flakes are excellent for relaxation and muscle relief. They dissolve quickly in warm water and create a soothing soak without any added fragrance, which is perfect for sensitive skin. After using them, muscles feel less tense and recovery is noticeably faster. The large 8 lb bag is a great value and lasts a long time.
these bath flakes beat epsom salts by a mile. it takes a lot less flakes for the same relief and the flakes are more intense. ancient minerals is the best value
I'm not sure what I was expecting but this product was ok. I was shocked when I read that this huge bag could be used at one soak. I'm retired and that's crazy pricing. Instead I choose to use a cup and a half per soak. I feel better while soaking and the feeling lasts through the night which helps me sleep. Overall I'd buy it again but I certainly will never use as much as prescribed. Also you must rinse off completely and don't skip this step. I hurry once and o was miserable the next day. Dry itchy skin and the beginnings of a rash.
I use regular epsom salts as well as this and I have to say this is a different texture than epsom salts. These are more like flakes than granules. And while I did enjoy the fragrance, I did feel like I had to add some epsom salt to the bath to make it therapeutic. I'm not saying that these don't work, but you should be aware that they are not salt granules like you get in a regular bag of epsom salt.
