Was very curious about this. Had to try it... Its got a lot of steps. WORTH IT though! Best mac and cheese I've ever had in a long time honestly! It can make a bit of a mess while it microwaves, especially when u put it down. Just put a plate in there or something, and maybe wipe the bottom before it leaves a crusty ring on the table.
I had one sample of this product. I like it and will buy in future.
I bought this on impulse, never heard of this brand before but figured I'd try something different than that other popular Mac and cheese. Annie's is easy to make and ready in minutes. It's the creamiest, cheesiest Mac and cheese I've ever had! And great flavor too! You have a new fan!
Kraft is always superior tasting when it comes to this kind of mac %26 cheese lol if you’re trying to be healthy though, this is a good substitute, that taste good.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is something we keep at our house for when our grandson visits. He loves this one. We have tried other brand mac and cheese cups, and they are terrible. This one is good.
I think it's quite good. I regularly eat this stuff because I'm lazy. I'm also proud to proclaim that I believe I have solved the "mystery" of the "sticky substance" that has lead many reviewers to negatively rate this product. If one were to dare to look at the ingredient list on the back of the cup, they will note that "butter, coconut oil," and "corn starch" are significant ingredients. Before adding water to the cup, there is a mysterious powder that looks suspiciously like corn starch. After adding water and mixing, it becomes apparent that most of the powder is non-water soluble. And guess what? It just so happens that coconut oil and butter are both hydrophobic! Almost as if they are in the ingredient list... Oh wait, they are! It turns out that when corn starch, commonly used to thicken liquids like gravy, is combined with butter and coconut oil and heated, the fats melt and create a thick, "sticky substance". Who could have guessed? If only they put an ingredient list on this thing, surely so many people wouldn't be disturbed! Oh, wait... Anyway the real reason I'm taking a star off is because while the cup works fine for one of my 700 Watt microwaves, the water boils over in a more powerful microwave (1500 Watt). This could be resolved by making a cup with a larger volume or limiting the power output of the microwave, but it is still annoying.
I like how this tastes. The one thing I do not like is the water overflows and makes a mess of the microwave.
The cheese powder mixed well, but the macaroni didn't seem like it was really coated. Too expensive for what you get
I really wanted to like this for the ease of preparation. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations. First - the cup itself is too small. Every time I heat this up the water boils over the top edge and spills in the microwave to be cleaned up. When it's done, some of the pasta is still crunchy. It is like small tube pasta with a hint of cheese flavor (probably mostly the salt I taste). No creaminess but more gummy.
I normally love this mac and cheese but the last cup I purchased and ate tasted bitter and burnt. I've never had a problem like this before but the powder which is usually white and soft came out a dark brown color and gave the macaroni little orange/brown clumps with awful taste.
