it's kind of greasy, you don't need to slather it on or anything like that. it's fairly portable in the stick formula. if you have a long day ahead, and it's HOT, you may have to reapply. the thin layer was definitely more comfortable. problem was, when i ordered it, i had a really bad rash. i needed some quick relief. it's about like carmex, it kind of melts a little with your body heat. i had enough on to fry french fries. but it worked, and if you need relief fast, this is better than anything unless you get an Rx. pain relief was immediate upon application . redness was mostly gone by day 2. the stuff's greasy. but awesome. i'm going to hang on to it... just in case.
