I bought one about four months ago and it's worked fine for the reason I bought it. Motor operated recliner. Several power outages would get me stuck in my recliner. I'm old. I recently purchased a second one for my router, Wi-Fi, TV, etc.
As a now retired, former IT professional, I have purchased and installed many desktop and server room UPS. APC is a brand I have had good success with. when the battery died in my old UPS, I decided to upgrade to a model that took up less desk space. I have had this unit in place for over a month without issue. I have not had a real power outage during that time, but this unit tested well for me. It supports a 14" laptop, a 34" monitor, an ink jet printer, and misc. USB perifrials without issue.
I purchased this battery backup for my husband to use for his cPap machine to protect his machine from power surges and hopefully allow him uninterrupted sleep in case of a power failure during the night. So far I have been very impressed with the quality of the device.
Ordering the unit was very simple and straight forward. The owner manual was clear and descriptive. I charged the unit for around 24 hours and connected my irrigation sprinkler and Frontier internet unit to it. Everything works good. I have also taken a 3 year warranty just incase something goes wrong.
Satisfactory--nothing special. Bought as a replacement for the other APC UPS I was using because the battery died. What I like about this upgraded model is that the battery can be replaced, where as the first unit couldn't.
About the 5th one I've purchased over the past 5 years. Good for what it does while it works, but when it stops, it stops hard. For what you get, I think it's just a little overpriced. Definitely buy when on sale.
Very please with unit, although “very heavy” it does the job. Have not used it to its full capacity but it is doing the job so far. Will review again in a few months with the final outcome. Thank you, HK
This one seems to work as it should. But do your own homework on what fits your needs. Battery did not last long in previous one that was a model below this one, So will see how this holds up. They just don't make electronics like they used to.
I think I received a dud After I installed the battery then plugged the UPS into the wall, the UPS alarmed as if there was no battery. Manufacturer support stated the product sat on the shelf too long, deconditioning the battery, and they recommended returning the product. Despite sitting in storage for no more than five months prior to my purchase, both a multimeter and a 12v lead-acid battery charger indicated the battery is healthy, which means the battery detection in the UPS itself might be defective. If it weren't for the battery detection problem, this product would have been perfect for my needs.
I never received the order, was told the delivery driver had an emergency and had to take the UPS back to the store. Then was told Walmart would try to deliver again. We never received it! I hate to give you a bad review, but the delivery service caused this.
