I was satisfied with your price and after logging onto the registration page, I saw where your price was only 99 different than the manufacturer's price. But using free delivery was the best thing and having it the same day.
I purchased this battery backup for a family member's household. In today's modern home, this family member has become reliant on internet access coming to a single focal point, the router connecting to the outside world. When the router was accidently powered down, we found out all the services affected to that household: internet access for computer %26 smart phones, home alarm, television, and Alexa Echo. Thus, I separated the router to a dedicated outlet with this battery backup. Hopefully, limiting any router interruptions in the future.
I needed a small UPS primarily to provide power to two power recliners when the power goes out (without these you are "stuck" in the reclined position, and it's pretty hard to get out of a reclined recliner!) - Amazon (Prime) and Walmart both had these for around the same price, Amazon (Prime) wanted a week to get it delivered to me, Walmart had it delivered the next day! I'm finding this to be the case more and more often and will give my business to the supplier with the best price AND best shipping options, and that tends to be Walmart these days! Keep up the good work Walmart!
I live in an old house with questionable electrical wiring. With the exception of some lamps, I use multiple APC UPS's to buffer all my electronics from power surges and spikes as well as filter out "power noise". When the batteries go bad, I purchase a new one and take the onld one in for recycling. Easy peasy :-)
Simple backup and power filtering. I have 3 of these units in service, my stereo/video equipment and 2 computers systems. We had a couple short power hits. we lost power for about an hour, there were 2 or 3 short hits as power as the power was restored and it worked flawlessly. Much better than dealing with corrupted computer data, and/or a burned out A?V gear.
I own 3 of this model APC UPS and they are an awesome power backup solution. We don't lose power as much as we used to but the equipment I have connected to them is vital to my entertainment happiness and I really struggle to bring them back online if they go down. These UPS' save the day! Walmart has the best price for them and this one was delivered the next day with a hassle free shopping and shipping online, the shopping experience (as always) is flawless. Great retailer, great product...
Bought this UPS both to protect my router from power surges, and to provide backup power in the event of power failure. So far, no problems. There won't be anything else plugged into this UPS, so I looked for the smallest UPS I could find from a quality brand.
Quiet, plenty of outlets, and works well so far. Care should be exercised in selecting the right model for the amount of power needed by the intended-use device. I chose this model (APC UPS 450VA, BN450M) for the purpose of protecting some powered peripherals and the external monitor for my laptop. In that lower utilization scenario, this has been a good choice. But I would not use this particular unit to protect my gaming desktop, for example, because that equipment is more power-hungry and needs a more powerful UPS. YMMV.
I don't care how well it might work. The item was listed as NEW and what I received was obviously a return or a refurbished unit. The package had a double seal on it, the inner packaging was already opened, and the unit itself has scratches and fingerprints all over it.
The battery on this UPS is not designed to be user replaceable. This is an absolute dealbreaker for me, because it means this product will be junk in 3-5 years when the battery quits. Please if you are going to spend the money, either go into it with that understanding or buy a model that does have a user replaceable battery.
