I got everything hooked up to this for my network, as like a modem some routers, smoke detector network. computer, printer. This is not a large capacity setup but its worth the price. I only need it when power goes out for a few minutes, then the generator kicks in. but that would shut everything down for 15 minutes and blue screen my PC
UPS 500VA/300W 120V Backup Power Supply, 3 Sockets, Backup Battery with Surge Protection. Is great purchase for the money and is made very well. Caption above suitable for a Desk Top is false. I have my hooked to Laptop %26 printer %26 and desk lamp. You can use on any electrical item to hook up including your TV , Smart device , BluRay player , gaming console. My only problem their are only 3 electric outlets. But I highly recommend to all. Thanks
after unpacking and reading unit is charged at the factory and should be allowed to charge, I installed it anyway. I connected my flat screen tv, router and TV box. then unplugged the unit and every stayed on without a flicker. Same thing when plugging back in. Unit seems solid and well built. Arrived quickly from date of order, coast to coast, 3 days.
When it first arrived, I was skeptical. The instructions that came with it were really generic and hard to understand, so I did some investigating online and found what I needed. I also checked the output voltage with a volt meter and it was right at 118 VAC, contrary to the manual, which stated 240 VAC. I plugged it in and didn't hook any devices into it for 24 hours. Then I plugged my computer, which draws 230 watts and my monitor which draws 73 watts and everything was fine. So I plugged my printer into it, which draws 118 watts amd an alarm went off. As soon as I unplugged the printer, the alarm went off. I cut the power to the outlet and the unit did what it was advertised to do, so I am happy. We lost power this last weekend due to a storm and it did what a UPS does. I might look into getting another one later on down the road.
I'm giving this a 3 star because it won't work for me. I wanted to use it as a backup for my sump pump. The issue is that it doesn't appear to like my pump. Based on the reviews, it sounds like maybe the pump draws too much energy? I have no idea but the high pitch alarm goes off after a couple of pumps, rendering this useless for my application. Other than that, it seems to be a nice little unit. The instructions have broken English so it's tough to understand why exactly I'm getting the high pitched alarm. I'll be returning this but I wish it worked out!
Ive owned and installed this UPS about 1 week ago, here's what I discovered so far. Be carful as to how much power is drawn for this UPS, it will turn off easy. My devices are drawing around 150 watts. When the load gets over 220 Watts the UPS will switch off! Failover is seamless, no issues there. I havent fully tested run time but with 150 watts im getting over 10 minutes. I decided that 10 minutes is all I need.
The Uninterupted Power Supply works however (The Output is reverse polarity in other words Black Wire or Hot input becomes White Wire or Neutral at output socket and the Hot side of the output socket is Neutral.)
Lasted 4 months then started screaming/squealing. Powered off and on and looked for a reset switch with no luck. Reached out to seller, currently with no resolution. I do not recommend unless you purchase the warranty, in-which case you should just spend the extra money and purchase a trusted dependable brand.
As soon as I plugged it in, it made two loud pops, sort of like firecrackers, and smoke started coming out of the vents. I'm assuming something arced inside the unit. In any case, I immediately returned it.
It worked for just about 40 hours, but made constant beeps and tones occasionally, which the manual (?) said nothing about. First major power drop the until failed to keep my PC running, as it shut down without warning, along with another new tone no less. Charged the unit up again, no load for 24 hrs and plugged in my laptop and pulled out the plug, unit shut down. Soon found this was a refurb, as the front panel did not look like the pic of what I bought. So called for a return, which was supprised me as being so easy . . . .
