[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used API Pond AlgaeFix often in my Koi Pond and it works really well. Whenever I get algae in the water, this clears it up fast. I trust API for my pond products and this one is my go-to. I have even recommended it to a friend for their pond and it helped treat their pond with the same great results. Highly recommend if you have a pond with green water issues.

This is one of the few algaecide products that actually work and is easy to use.

After receiving a sample of API Pond Algaefix, we decided to give it a shot. As you can see the bloom has been mostly contained and we can now see our fish! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since I only had an 8oz bottle, I could only do a targeted treatment with the API Pond Algefix on the waterfall. Instead of trying to dose the whole pond, I turned the pump off and applied to the rocks where the string algae builds up. It worked like a precision spot treatment, burning off the slimy algae on the stone without shocking the entire pond or risking an oxygen crash. It ended up being a simple, controlled way to clean up the waterfall area while keeping the rest of the pond balanced.

However it is highly important to read the instructions and be careful with the quantity to use with water. I did not use it directly in tanks with fish. If you are as careful and doubtful make sure to keep the fish separate while using it. I wish there were better instructions and guidance for it. The product did not come with a manual. But I do see how it can be helpful for home fountains outside to make it look clean.
