Our filter pump for our turtle enclosure randomly stopped working, and it took some time to replace it (involving a pump from China that has a foreign plug that won't work in the US that Walmart refuses to refund me for). The water got pretty gnarly, and while I could change 30 gallons a day, there was no way I could practically change 70 gallons a day. I remembered this sludge remover from when we first set up our turtle, and at the time it worked miracles. I got it again this time, did a water change and dumped in half a bottle. The water got a bit less murky, so the next day I did another water change and dumped in the rest of the sludge remover. We got up the next morning and the water was crystal clear! It's shocking, really, how well this works. I highly recommend it to anyone with aquatic turtles, esp for use as beneficial bacteria are being established. You can use it one time and the water will be good for years with just the occasional top-ups. If it doesn't stay good, change your setup to include pool filter sand or (washed) play sand. Add live oak leaf litter from online.

Works great in my 20 gallon turtle tank for Mr Turtle my sons red eared slider. If used every 3-4 days with a filter system it makes manual cleanings less frequent and keeps water clear.
