Convenient and no mess
Usually we buy the "assemble-it-yourself" box with filter pads and sealed foil packs of charcoal to put into the filter pads. But that can be tricky and messy when not if you spill charcoal, and it's nice to have the complete filter insert ready to go. And much, much quicker. We liked the price, too.

About the wrong ones, so I was kind of disappointed when I got home and they wouldn't work but believe it or not I made them work, but I had to finagle him

I love this filtering setup for my aquarium. The cartridges are easy to change and last quite a while. I add extra charcoal to the filter, because the packet of charcoal in the box is very small, in my opinion.

These carbon filter are perfect for my turtle tank and also my fish tank. They are easy to rinse in between replacing them and changing them is super easy and efficient.

these are a good fit for my PetSmart filter. if you have a pump from petsmart, these will fit. must be popular because Walmart most of the time seems to be sold out.

they are made cheaply compared to past. very little charcoal in them now. much less than before and you must buy online. no longer available in store.

I actually ordered them too big. But the wife used them anyway. I guess too big is better than too small. And the tank has cleared up. Might work even better if I had gotten the right size.

I have always like Treta Filter products.. just need more charcoal in the filter to help filter aquarium water

Disappointed with quality of filter
Used to brag about the quality of this filter compared to others. When rec'd, one filter was split open, charcoal everywhere. Processed return, rec'd replacement, put filter in the filter holder %26 it split open into the tank, had bits %26 pieces floating all in the tank - turtle could have eaten if I hadn't noticed right of away. What happened to the quality? Been purchasing these filters for a few years %26 have NEVER had this issue.
