This Apple remote is exactly what you'd expect—clean design, very responsive, and easy to use right out of the box. The buttons have a nice feel, and the touch surface makes navigating menus quick and intuitive. It paired instantly with my device and has worked flawlessly ever since. A great replacement or upgrade if you need one.
My original remote lost one of the push buttons and I ordered a new one from Walmart. Because I am a Walmart member, the new remote was delivered to my front door within two hours, which saved the day as it was right before we were hit with a severe snow storm. I was beyond pleased!
Worth every penny. This was brand new out of the box and not used or refurbished. It was so easy to set up. I charged it. Then I turned on the TV and Apple TV modem, pressed the power button on the remote and held down the play button. That's it and it's synced. Plus it's sturdy and not delicate like the first generation glass remote. Mine cracked and was in need of a replacement. That's fantastic that I was able to replace a 1st generation remote for the Apple TV modem that was purchased in 2015! Thank you Walmart for carrying this.
Nice to have the mute button and remote works better. Will have to retrain muscle memory because the mute button changes the orientation of the other buttons.
Better than the previous version. Only wish they added waterproof to it. For 60 dollar remote it shouldn't be that hard to do. Walmart did deliver it on time.
One of the controller buttons fell off of our existing AppleTV remotes. Walmart saved the day. They had a replacement available and delivered to our home within 24 hours!
Same price as Apple store which we all know that all Apple prices are exorbitant. All the knockoff remotes wouldn't control my Apple speakers without 2 extra steps just to get to the volume control, so over paid for such a basic remote.
Works like a charm.. plus you can just use a standard C cord to charge. and it had six great benefits… four months of entertainment, TV, music, arcade and an exercise app. well worth the money I paid I have to have my SiriI voice control.
Very easy to setup the type c port is so much easier battery life is astonishing i can go a whole month without having to charge it and sometimes even more depending on the usage
I have used Apple TV devices since they first were offered and have never had an issue. I have been completely satisfied with my Apple TV, and a couple of years ago, I got the (at that time) latest device, Apple TV 4K. Unfortunately, my mother spilled water on the remote, and I ended up having to order the remote I am reviewing now. Suffice it to say that I paid about $60.00 for this remote, and it does not work. I charged it and have tried multiple times to pair it, and it doesn't work or respond at all. Since I'm buying this through the Walmart site, I'm actually unsure if this is some kind of Apple product forgery, or if the device just doesn't work, but I'm not happy about this. I am going to go through the steps to get a replacement, and I hope Walmart doesn't make this as hard as they used to when one had to return electronic devices.
