Best sounding smart speaker

Mo January 9, 2026

I've been using the HomePod (2nd gen) for a while and it's easily the best sounding smart speaker I've owned. The audio is rich and clear, the bass is surprisingly deep for the size, and it fills a room without sounding muddy at higher volume. Spatial Audio tracks sound especially good. Setup was basically instant with an iPhone, and the whole Apple ecosystem integration The built-in room sensing also seems to make a real difference depending on where you place it. You can play Spotify, Apple Music, or any app to let you share the audio. Downsides: it's not cheap, and Siri still isn't as flexible as Alexa or Google for random questions. But if you mostly care about sound quality and you're already in the Apple ecosystem, this speaker is 100% worth it. To get access you have to be on the same WiFi

Apple HomePod

Ashlie January 21, 2026

My family and I recently upgraded to an Apple HomePod. This device is very well built, having a sleek design and weight to it. The accessibility is convenient. Once connected to network, you can select commands on iPhone or by voice. We enjoy listening to music, so that has been the biggest feature thus far. I also have used it for a timer and answered a phone call. Loving it so far!

Some paired as a sound bar

Chris January 10, 2026

Bought 2 of these to use as a sound bar for a projector setup in my work apartment. The sound is super amazing and exactly the quality that would expect from Apple. Delivery was super fast and well received.

Does as expected, great sound so far should try out two and listen to some classical music or good old smooth jazz.

Can be a little difficult to connect apps other than Apple Music to this device. Otherwise five stars.

Great smart speaker, especially if you use Apple

Edward McCain January 16, 2024

The HomePod does a lot of things very well. The soundstage is very good and the Siri voice-activated features are really handy. It isn't quite the sound of the old Bose speaker I had, but it is just as good in its own way, depending on the music. Overall, a good value, especially if you are already using Apple products such as the iPhone

Too buggy for the money

CommonSenseAl December 11, 2025

When it works and combines with another for stereo sounds, it's great... but it's quite buggy. I just had to unplug and reboot the thing again so it would play music without cutting out. For the money you shouldn't have to deal with all this crap. It should just work.
