These towels are sooo soft! I ordered all new towels for my bathroom remodel and I was a little skeptical about these because of the price. But I was wrong! They wash up well and there was no lint that I could find. I cannot speak to the colors because I only bought basic white, but they were pristine white and seem to be heavy duty quality.
Walmart seems to be taking their products to the next level. This is the best towel I've ever purchased. The price cannot be beat. These look and feel like very expensive towels. I purchased the largest version which is a little bigger than a beach towel. I like to wash these together then hang them to dry overnight. The next morning I throw them in the dryer with dryer sheets. These are so comfy, thick, and thirsty. You'll love these!
I went to the store and they were out of all white towels. They did have a couple of white hand towels on the shelf. So I picked up one to see if I would be happy with the quality. They were soft, heavy weight but not too heavy. And the best part, they were not microfiber, which I do not like for bath towels. Ordered the towels, hand towels and washcloths online. I ordered the dark gray specifically for makeup, as some makeup will not come out of white and other light colors. I have washed the gray cloths and the white towels and both laundry very well. I would have preferred to buy them at my local Walmart though. Not sure why I could not buy any white towels without going online. Guess because they all come from overseas.
The items in this collection are a steal! My advice is to buy them while they're still available. They're soft, thick, SO absorbent, and wash up fluffy and beautiful! I only discovered this collection because I needed to add a $4 item to an order I was placing so I could get free shipping. What better than a washcloth, right? So I bought a washcloth, LOVED it, couldn't believe it was half the price of those from the department stores, bought more, bought a towel, loved it too, and then bought several of each! All in Arctic White and all beautiful!
Love these towels! I originally bought 10 in the color white about three years ago, they've held up very nicely, however I knew it was time to get new ones. They weren't falling apart, but I was over the stark white and decided to go with papyrus beige, which is a warmer color, plus the new ones have the OEKO-TEX certification, which my previous ones did not. They are thick enough for me, not overly plush, but not thin either, a great balance which equals to a fast drying towel. When it came time to replace them, I looked all over, but decided to go with these again since I had no issues with them in the 3 years I've had them.
I have bought many towels over my 54 years of marriage. From the best money can buy and the cheapest money can buy. If it is one thing I know, if you want the best towels ever, buy these Better Homes and Garden Extra Fluffy Towels in any color! I have and they are remarkably soft, bath towels are extra large, and they soak up the water after a shower or bath very well. I, too, wash my towels before using them. Yes, they have a lot of lint! If that bothers you, then go to a store where towels are paper thin, no lint, and it will take several bath towels to dry your body! I have washed man clothes in my 73 years and all have different amounts of lint! When it comes to towels, I would not buy any that were not fluffy with lint! A quick suggestion: If you are a camper or find yourself without power and have a fireplace, a bit of lint and a math makes great kindling to start a nice fire to keep you warm! A warm thank you to Walmart for carrying these wonderful towels at a bargain price!
I bought these for the dogs, I have 4. Between rain, bathes etc i needed extra towels. For dogs they are okay. I would never buy these for family. First time i washed/dried them they had strings hanging from all over the towels. I got what I paid for dog towels. Not good quality for people. I will admit when they first arrived I thought these are nice. Oh boy.
I really loved how these towels are so thick. But after 9 months of having them, I've noticed that they now shed so horribly. The little fuzzies are EVERYWHERE all the time and I cannot get them off my normal clothes. I wash them separately from any of my other clothes but everything is covered in them. They're also not very absorbent like I thought they would be. They're still very thick though. I won't buy these again. The shedding has me in tears (figuratively) sometimes; it's so frustrating. The attached picture is a shirt that I purposely laid the towel on just to prove how horribly it sheds. I didn't rub it or anything. Just laid it there and took it off. That's what the towel left.
I've had these towels for about 5 months now. They're a great size and still very soft and they only shed for the first few washes. However, two of the yellow ones discolored very badly and got dark splotches all over them on the second wash. On about the third or fourth wash, one of the hems came unraveled and, a couple months after that, another one did the same thing. Very disappointing after spending a lot of money for a towel.
They don't hold their color. I first bought 2 of the bath towels and after a few washing they had discolored to a orange color in big areas. I assumed I washed them with a cleaning agent. I bought 4 more and carefully only washed the towels alone and the exact same thing happened. I now have 6 Grey and Orange spotted towels.
