These are the best kitchen scissors I've owned and I have been using scissors in the kitchen for over 30 years before they became a necessary cooking tool by cooks.
These cut food up, cut chicken skin off easily (where i struggle with my knives which may cut a tomato but not slippery children skin), cut pizza better than my pizza cutter, quick cutting boiled eggs in tiny pieces, anything needing small pieces for babies these do great!.
Yes, I know that knives can do the same but I don't always want my fingers in the way of some food prep for several reasons-- one being nicking or cutting food then having to throw it out or even with cooking gloves on which I use all the time now, I dont want plastic pieces cut off into the food that is prepped.
The only problem with these scissors is that they disappear! Sometimes they reappear, then I have to try and find what the scissors have been doing! Often times, they are not allowed back into the kitchen because of where they escaped to i.e. garage, car repair, paint projects and many orher places they end up.
So, to keep they from escaping, my recommendation is to not only label them for "kitchen use only" but chain them to your jeans belt loop....
or they will escape and no one in your household will have any clue where those heavy duty woring scissors have gone!
