Great Gaming Headset

IZC May 19, 2021

I own a lot of gaming headsets and for me comfort in wearing the headset is one game changer for finding a new headset. So, when I saw the A10 gaming Headset by Astro, I thought it would be kind of like the rest, was I wrong. First, the extra comfort that they added to the ear pads lets the avid gamer play for hours without discomfort. Secondly, the connectivity is amazing, if you follow the instructions connecting to Xbox and PlayStation is so easy but there was a bit of a surprise for me this headset also connects to the new Luna controller by Amazon which I found to be a big plus. Then if you connect to a gaming PC, like the HP Pavilion Gaming R5, which I own then you can experience gaming sound at a new level. Finally, the mic is also very good, there was no lag in the audio, I was able to talk and hear clearly in real time. Overall, I would definitely recommend buying the A10 XB1 headset by Astro. Not just because it is a very versatile headset but because it caters to comfort with its added padding in the headset and overall design. A perfect buy for any advanced or beginning gamer !

My mind Thinks.... Louder...

Joe April 17, 2020

Hello everyone and anyone. Well the A10 headset is GREAT!!! My problem was sound could only be heard on one ear, no matter what side of chord I plugged in. And the volume only went as high as a musical B-Day card... Hope that was just a damaged set I received. Because everything else was Awesome. Comfort, better than any other headset I ever used!! The weight was great. The design and colors matched my taste perfectly!!! Thank you very much...

This is a lot nicer than I expected for the price.

This headset sounds very good. I don't want to go into this to much but I edit music as well as gaming and these are great for editing music as well. I use these to listen to music too because of the sound quality. The microphone is another thing I'm very impressed with. I use music recording mics and this one is right up there with the good ones. They are very comfortable. Even for long periods of time. And they are very durable and flexible, literally flexible. I'm very happy with these and enjoy them a lot.

Great sound! awesome comfort!

HTW April 5, 2020

I am very impressed with this headset. The sound is great with deep bass for those gaming explosions. Microphone picks up my voice clearly (according to others on the line anyway). Two very big pluses: 1) volume control knob on the wire is great for when I have to turn down the volume to hear something "in the real world" (such as wife or son) 2) the adjuster bands have measurements on them so you are sure they are spaced equally on your head I also plugged them into my iPhone to listen to music and make phone calls just to make sure they worked. They do a great job!

Near unbreakable, very comfy

Tehpoot May 14, 2021

Upon first look this headset seemed a little bulky, and though it is a tad on the heavy side, it doesn't feel the least bit uncomfortable. It fits snug on both my small (near child size) head, and my husbands(somewhat large) head. The microphone positions into a practical spot, and easily swivels up to mute conversation. To test this my husband plugged the headset into his phone and called me. I was skeptical that this function would work properly, and I'm pleased to say I was wrong. No button to locate- just flip it up, awesome and easy! I'm considering gifting this to my son who refers to himself as a pro-gamer. I'd keep them for myself, but these are virtually indestructible! You can take them and twist them completely around; and we were not light testing this feature. My husband torqued these bad boys, and they acted like nothing had happened. Bounced right back into shape! The ear cushions are quite comfortable and even provide some background noise blur. The volume dial works really well and is in a good position. Great overall design. A few things we weren't so happy about. One- the place to plug the cord into the headset itself is between the ear padding and the hard edging it's attached to. I don't know that I'd ever unplug it because putting it in leaves some room to break something. I know myself and I'd either mess up the headset, or the port it plugs into, or the plug end itself. You have to hold the gap open and it's just a little cumbersome. Second- there is definite lag between things happening on screen and when you hear it in the headset. If you turn your TV volume down completely and use the headset solely, it's not super noticeable. But i can say that normal wired earbuds don't do this. Usually you only see this lag with Bluetooth devices. Im not sure why this happens. Lastly- this claims it can be used with your phone....and it can....so long as you don't have any newer model phone. My phone no longer has a typical headphone jack and instead uses the usb-c charging port. The headset should have come with interchangeable ends. Overall I'm pleased and will probably buy a second set so both my son and husband can have one.

Good sound quality for different head sizes

DrAndy April 4, 2020

I thought that I would be using this headset for my Xbox, but have found myself using it for video conferencing each day on my laptop. I really like how the sound quality is nice, crisp and clear. It also fits my head, as well as my kids head when she is talking to her teachers. It does well keeping outside sounds from distracting you too much, and has a lift the microphone up to mute feature. One important thing to take note of is that each end of the audio cable has a different size. I thought that it didn't fit my computer at first. But, the larger end goes into the headphones, and the smaller end goes into the computer or game console. There are two things I didn't like about the headset. They aren't problems, more of a personal preference. There is a single pad on the top to cushion your head. I'm used to headsets that have a longer cushion, or a double cushion. I did get used to it after a couple of uses, but I noticed it for the first few times I put it on. The other thing I didn't like is that microphone can only be used on the left side. It only comes down on the one side. I'm aware that it due to keeping the stereo sound on the correct ears though.

Solid headset

Mommatofive May 18, 2021

This is a solid headset with a standard 3.5mm single line for both audio and mic. If you are using an older pc with them separate you will need to get a y cable to split it separately. The ears on this are very soft and comfortable and move to fit the contour of your head. You can pull them out to make it a little bigger or push them back in for a smaller person. The microphone is attached and not detachable. To mute it you flip it all the way up. If it’s not all the way then it’s not muted so be careful about that to avoid an embarrassing situation. I noticed a little bit of static on the line that both I and the people I was chatting with heard faintly. It’s not bad, it’s just not super crisp sound when talking with others compared to my other gaming headset. The sound of my music was fairly solid and had plenty of volume. One other thing that wasn’t my favorite about it is the foam on the headband. It’s just a little block of foam at the top which is just firm enough that I found it uncomfortable. I am tender headed so take that as you want. There is a volume control on the cord about a foot or so away from the headset. The cord is about 6.5 feet long which is decent. One thing that appeals to me is that it says that it was built for durability. I haven’t had it long enough to test that but with the way my kids can go through headsets I am really glad that they built it with durability in mind. The last thing I think you might want to know is to make sure that the cord is installed securely into the headset because if you don’t get it all the way in you will only have sound in one ear. I learned this the hard way but was able to quickly figure it out to just push it in further. All in all, I think it’s a good and solid headset.

Astro headset

Ma June 2, 2020

Well my kids wanted to love these headphones for the Xbox One they say that they're very comfortable so we would give that a five-star but they cannot talk to their friends because they can't hear them and they can't hear anything they said it's very low even though the volume is all the way up so for that I had to give them a 2 star.

Muffled sound

GButte June 13, 2020

My son had tried to use this Astro A10 XB1 Headset with his XBOX ONE, but was told by the other players that he sounded muffled and was hard to hear. Communication is key in the game he plays, so this headset was not good for him.
