I've only just installed it and haven't had time to do much with it yet. The install was easy though with the help of the guide being so easy to read and follow.
I was understandably nervous to build a pc on my first time out, but the ASUS ROG STRIX B-650-A made it very easy. It’s fast, has the ports I need, and was large enough to get my hands in when I needed to reroute cables. I love this motherboard. The one small issue I have is that I cannot get my GPU to be recognized by the armoury crate software for RGB control. But I am uncertain this is an issue with the motherboard, or even ASUS software, so I am not holding it against them. It could be the GPU needing an update, or something else outside of the motherboard. Fantastic product, would buy again.
would be nice to have a faster second PCIe. its nice to have HDMI and DP on the motherboard as not all GPU's come with second HDMI. it could be nice the have heatsinks or plates on the board spesificaly to hide wires and power cable under. for example, i have a lian li 360mm aio. its power connector and rgb runs to the right and beside the top heatsink. i recently tried to hid these wires going through the grooves on that top heatsink, and out t othe right following through to the bakc with the CPU power cable. when i tred this i ended up cuttign through the cable cover, and fullly damaging the connector. so adding some dedicated covers or routing spesificaly for concealing cable would be great. also, this same thing could be done for the conectors at the bottom (e.g. RGB, usb, hd audio, etc) adding a removeable cover fro this would be so nice, or doing this as well as rotating the conectors to be downward facing rather then outward. i have more things to add for other boards too. also, i would love to work or join the company in some way. i ma a student who want to get into the IT field and could love to be in computing or Motherboard design
I love the motherboard, but it could definitely be better. First off, the white very contrasts the black and I don't like that. Since it is an A series motherboard, it should definitely be all white. However, everything else is really good.
The mother board is great looks amazing it was easy to install the only issue I had was no drivers installed for WiFi Bluetooth or lna controller luckily I had a WiFi dongle an could use that to go download drivers witch was surprising because my strix dark hero am4 came with install disc with all the drivers other than that 9.5 out 10
Pretty neat motherboard overall, not sure how to take advantage of all the specs. The PCI lock button for the one slot is neatly placed at a distance to easily remove whatever oversized GPU you plan to install. Just wish it had more than 4x SATA ports on the motherboard, but I'll have to just buy an adapter if really needed. There's a cool little light on the MB that stays lit while off which I enjoy.
Couldnt get BIOS to download and update. And before that, the mobo wouldnt read my USB Thumbstick to load Windows 11. It also had a very slow startup. I had to wait about 5 min. for the first POST. The LEDs kept indicating a RAM issue during that wait, which made me think i had done something wrong. I have a Ryzen 78003dx with an AMD Radeon 7800xt, and 32 Gb of DDR 5 6000mhz RAM. I loaded Minecraft up first on max settings on a 2k monitor. It ran so fast i had to turn down the fps to see. I havent done much else with this computer, yet.
Mic quality from plugging into rear jack is causing major issues i never had woth my old Motherboard. Volume is too low and I've been trouble shooting trying to find a fix all day. Worst experience. Other than that it does its job. Quality is nice amd it looks good
This item has DDS4 and my requires DDS5, so this purchase was a bust. I had to pick it up from the computer repair place, return it to Walmart and still purchase another motherboard that was compatible to my gaming computer. A lot of unnecessary expense and running around.
