Asus ROG Strix B850-A GAMING WIFI Gaming Desktop Motherboard - AMD B850 Chipset - Socket AM5 - ATX (90mb1j50-m0aay0)

I was having issues with my old MSI motherboard where it wasn’t reading one of my SSD which caused issues. Their warranty was horrible so I decided replacing would be best option. My asus motherboard was so easy to set up and move everything over to! This was my first time doing it all myself and it was so seamless. The fact some of it required minimal tools, was nicely labeled and for aesthetic purposes, it’s a gorgeous motherboard. Everything is protected within it very nicely and the extra touch of RGB definitely added more sense of satisfaction.

I’ve been really happy with the ROG STRIX B850-A GAMING WIFI so far. The build quality is excellent and the white design looks great in my case. Installation was straightforward, and the BIOS was easy to navigate even when setting up RAM profiles and other settings. The board has plenty of connectivity, and having WiFi included is really convenient. I also like the number of M.2 slots and expansion options, which makes it feel future-proof for upgrades later on. Overall it feels like a solid motherboard with good features for a gaming PC build. If you’re looking for a reliable AM5 board with strong performance and good aesthetics, this one is definitely worth considering.

this mobo is soo cute! i have always liked the way rog designs their products, and this was no exception. i wanted a mobo with rgb, and i wanted it to be white. after a bit of searching, this one was perfect! once i ordered it, it came in the mail. the motherboard itself is quite heavy, at about 4.5lbs (or 2kg). i realized all that weight was from the ginormous heatsink that was lowk perfect to dissipate heat. overall, this motherboard is perfect. good connectivity, cute aesthetics and design, it’s hella durable, and it’s from a good brand - ASUS (well technically rog but they’re the same thing sooo)

My kids and I are really enjoying building an updated Windows 11 computer. We're getting all white parts and this Asus rog strix b850-a was the mobo we chose to go along with white theme. It's our first time building a computer and it started on our first try. Resources, instructions, and parts are all robust and got us going. Seems like a quality durable product that will last, time will tell.

Very good, drivers are helpful, the lighting works well and armoury crate was good, took me very little time to set up and comes with a lot in the packaging such as stickers zip ties and other accessories

The bios screen is design for beginners and experts i can locate most of the controls in the bios at ease. Drivers for this mobo are pretty easy to download aswell

I went from a X-99 to the 850, I plan to rebuild 2 more soon & I'll never buy anything but ASUS mobos. The 850 is visually stunning. It looks, feels, & operates like a boss!

Happy with my this board, I must admit it looks lovely in the case with my other parts. All of the features are exactly what I was looking for such as AM5, DDR5, PCI-E 5 and WiFi 7 capabilities etc. However, even though its not an Asus issue, 4 DIMM slots are a waste on this board until they sort out the reduced ram speed problem out. I've not attempted to change speeds as I have only bought two sticks for this reason. Only grip and reason for one star removed is the fact this board came with an older bios version which appeared to be the issue for my constant Windows 11 installation failing. The bios flash button came in useful and after updating bios (from the Asus website) Windows installed fine. For the price it should have at least something near the latest version of bios especially just to be Windows 11 compatible out of the box.

I made a brand new win 11 build. For whatever reason the drivers would not unpack and were giving me an error message that the package is not for a win10 installation. I tried asus hub, armory crate, windows update nothing would install mobo wifi drivers. I wound up buying a separate WiFi card and installing it. I have WiFi now and will never buy another asus board.
