I really enjoy playing Atari especially centipede. That was my favorite game as a child and I love it even more that I'm grown so whoever decides to purchase one, you won't regret it.
I think Kai will like it.
So much fun! My soon to be 12-year-old loves it! Easy set up! Easy to play
In my humble opinion this is the best Atari system you can buy. It's simple, upgradable, the games are very nostalgic and many of them stand the test of time. The controllers are just cool, very 80's but with a modern twist. Overall I'm happy with it. Would recommend for anybody into retro gaming.
Good price. Actually, based on value, a great price. I played these Atari games growing up in the 80s. Now going back, even though the technology is a bit primitive based on today's games, that is the way it should be. That is what I wanted. These are the exact games we played in the 80s. So much fun. And again, as far as value, there are so many games, it will take a lot of time to play all of them.
Pros: Looks nice Well made Works well Cons: Missing lots of great games like Space Invaders, Pitfall, Frogger, Planes and others. Controls sometimes lag.
Fun retro blast from the past. Gone are the days of yellow, red and white wires, hooking up the system is as simple as a power cable and putting the hdmi in your TV. Neither was difficult, but it's a touch of the modern era that stands against the rest of the console. The controllers feel okay but require 4 AA batteries each, which I think is a little ridiculous, especially since there aren't any included. Actually has pretty decent sound reproduction, the music sounds about as well as any Atari chiptune could sound.
we to return the first one because the games wouldn't load, then ordered the second one and there was nothing, returned it, and now we dont know where then money went, im so disappointed wih Walmart,
Don't even buy this, it doesn't have the popular games like outcall, moon patrol etc when it says two hundred it means repeating games for the 2600, 5200, and 7800 such a waste.... Don't buy......
This is not a poor rating on the device itself, but rather the seller. Prior to ordering the product was listed as "NEW" yet it arrived with the batteries installed in the joysticks and scuff marks on the top of the base unit. MyArcade sells the device with the batteries wrapped in two packs of four batteries, assuring no leakage during shipment. When you buy a new device, you expect it to be in that condition.
