Atkinson's Mint Twists Crush Peppermint Gluten-Free Candy 8-oz

Love these peppermint bits for holiday baking. They last a long time if stored airtight. They are fairly uniform in size, which makes them ideal for cookies or topping. I also use them in peppermint bark. They have a good flavor, not too mild or not too sharp. While they may be slightly more expensive than buying candy canes to have to bash up, I value the convenience . It's often an annoyance to unwrap candy canes, so for me personally, I trade the convenience for the savings.

I bought this for a recipe. I was unimpressed with the recipe, but the crushed peppermint was amazing! You would think you could just grab some candy canes and crush them yourself, but the Atkinson's was all uniform in size, no too sharp pieces, and a great flavor. I just ate what was left over after the recipe.

These are great if you want to save time opening a million candy canes and crushing them yourself. Great to top cupcakes/cakes. I incorporated them in cocoa rice krispie treats I made with peppermint marshmellows around Christmas. I do wish they bought more to stock at my store. They were gone in days and were never restocked. My rice kristie treats were such a hit I made more and ended up buying this product along with the other ingredients at another grocery store.

The peppermint was minty, yet sweet at the same time. I used it in a new Mint Chocolate Cheesecake Brownie, instead of semi-sweet chocolate and an overabundence of peppermint extract.

The crushed peppermint is very helpful when my glucose levels are low. All you need is a 1/3 of a teaspoon to get your levels up. I carry sum in a snack size ziplock bag and keep it in my purse when I'm on the go.

Better than most because it has more white pieces than red. The red pieces melt too much when added to cookies.

Was thrilled to find this crushed peppermint at such a reasonable price. It is so convenient to have for garnish or ready to add to a recipe.

I never saw this before and I really like that it's ready to use on Christmas cookies, or to rim hot chocolate or other holiday adult beverages.

I got this to use in my peppermint hot cocoa jars that I use for holiday gifts. The pieces were a little larger than I wanted but a quick burst in the coffee grinder ground it to powder - perfect for my use and SOOOO much easier than starting with peppermint candies! The piece size would be good for peppermint bark.

I actually bought this crushed version by accident but ended up creating peppermint milk. By melting it down in a hot water creating a syrup and then pouring that into some warm milk. So I have to say there are a lot of recipes and things you can use with this. It also helps that stubborn heartburn!
