AT&T 1740 Digital Answering System, Single Unit, Tapeless 60 Min Record Time, Message Guard Memory, Audible Message Alert, Remote Access

Caller ID and call history on our existing landline stopped working. Phone company chatbot claimed it had fixed part of the problem and the rest would be scheduled to be handled remotely. I ordered the new phone and answering machine, thinking it might be incompatible with new tech %26 it arrived the next morning. However, a phone company tech arrived in person also and said the whole problem was our connection to the box, with older technology. He connected us to new box and the old phone/answering machine began working just fine. Had to return the phone/answering machine I had ordered.

Great machine for a great price no problems with it works just right. I give it a 8 out of 10 would recommend it

Easy to set up , it is small and does not take up a lot of space. I just wished it came in different colors :).

My mother is older and likes to hear messages from an answering machine , not voicemail so I got her this. I set it up, had her say a greeting and mounted it in place.

I had one from Radio Shack, since they first sold them. It finally crapped out and I thought it would be impossible to replace. But here it is! Under a new name of course. The voice guided set up actually worked for me. All is well.

Quick and easy set up. No bells and whistles. Just a compact answering machine for your home phone. I bought it for my dad because he was never in his room at the assisted living. Now he can get his messages and it's easy to use with a simple display and a few buttons that are clearly labeled.

Reliability, Setup, Operation! Previously had a similar model; only thing I don't like is that I returned to AT%26T who has over-priced services and products in general. Fortunately, Walmart savings make a difference... and free shipping.

Works well, but should have a date stamp, not just the day of the week. The sound is a bit squeaky both recording and playback which is its biggest drawback. As a result, intelligibility could be better. Small size is a plus.

really surprised at the poor quality of the AT%26T brand. This message recorder has the poorest quality I've ever heard. people have hing up rather than put up with the static they get whole yrong to leave a message.
