This is a very good winch for a 16ft bass boat with a 35 horse mercury on board.Have no problem taking boat out of water with this winch.

I bought this winch as part of a set-up to hang harvested deer for dressing. It worked exactly as I hoped it would, and made that part of the hunt much easier. Highly recommend.

I bought the winch in a light duty application, and it seems well built and works fine.

Overall construction is good. Strap and hook being included is a bonus at that price. Not impressed with the "EDC" coating - seems like just 1 coat of paint, but will probably last as long as the nickel coating on most other winches, which is why we have to replace our rusty winches every few years.

I bought this to replace an older rusting one. It was easy enough to install. I am satisfied with it but give this caution. When you are winding the ribbon back on the spool pay attention. If you don't and do it too fast the ribbon will fold over itself. Other than that, it's working very well and seems to be of decent quality.

Im on my 2nd winch, that also broke this weekend. the locking mechanism is poorly designed it sheared off the locking tab twice now. I use this only to snug up my boat while still in the water, then use a lfoater bar. This weekend, the bolt holding the gear locking mechanism BENT leaivng me unable to secure the boat, and sheered the tab off the locker that stops the main gear, had to disassemble it to get it locked... Returning it today will buy elsewhere.

I have a 2002 Ski Nautique and the hook is too small to connect to the boat ring. From the looks of it I would also say the quality is lacking. I'm taking it back.

bought this to use to hoist a deer feeder setup I had. It worked good getting it up (about 200lbs) when I went back to lower it and refill the bolt that holds the handle on just snapped, it was obviously just poor materials. guess you get what you pay for.
